The place I visited today is 'Seokgijeong Dolsot Budaejjigae Singi Samsung Branch,' located in Samseong Village, Bugok-dong, Gunpo-si, Gyeonggi-do.

It is a local restaurant known to those in Gunpo's Samseong Village looking for a hot and spicy Budaejjigae meal. It is said to be a restaurant that has been loved by local residents for over 10 years, as it also offers frozen pork belly.

The main branch of Seokgijeong Budaejjigae is located in Dangjeong-dong, about 3.5km away from here.

Since it seemed like it would be difficult to film there due to the large number of customers, I visited the Singi Samsung Branch, which is the closest one available.

It is said that after first opening in Anseong, Gyeonggi-do in 1965, it relocated to Songtan, Gyeonggi-do in 1969 and then to Anyang, Gyeonggi-do in 1976, eventually becoming the Budaejjigae specialty restaurant with a 61-year tradition. When you think of Budae Jjigae, you usually picture it bubbling away in a large aluminum pot, but true to its name, this place is characterized by its Budae Jjigae cooked in a stone pot.

In particular, the Seokgijeong Singi Samsung branch sells frozen pork belly alongside the Budae Jjigae, offering a great combination not only for a single meal but also for a group to enjoy meat and stew together.

As expected, Budae Jjigae is a dish whose true charm comes alive once it starts boiling.

The salty umami flavor from the ham and sausage blends harmoniously with the spicy and rich broth. When you toss in a ramen noodle packet, you might wonder, "Why am I eating so much ramen?" but in front of Budae Jjigae, there is really no need to worry about such things.

It is only polite to eat the noodles that are meant to be eaten. Hehehe.

Actual reviews confirm that the Budae Jjigae here is praised for its refreshing broth, excellent ingredients, diverse side dishes, and generous hospitality.

I, too, had the pleasure of meeting the friendly staff and the owner. The spacious tables, convenient parking, and features that make it a great place to visit with children are also being mentioned.

I later found out that this restaurant also offers a fun combination called "Budae Jjigae + Frozen Pork Belly."

While Budae Jjigae is a spicy and hot soup dish on its own, if you grill thinly sliced ​​frozen pork belly on a hot plate to sizzle, it creates a dish that seamlessly crosses the line between a meal and a drinking snack.

Even just reading about it without seeing it in person makes my mouth water, and I definitely want to try it out next time.
