She's buried about a mile from me apparently. I should take her some flowers sometime.

One of the sickest things was hearing the step daughter say after the girl was killed she was going to put on a new dress and celebrate.  How disgusting can you be?

After hearing about the horrific honor killings in Britain, and the authorities not doing anything about the murdered daughters and babies, I'm so glad US pushed for justice for Tina. RIP Tina ❤

This is one of the sickest episodes I have ever seen.

It’s crazy to me how cultures like this have so many strict beliefs but they never have anything against violence or killing. It’s ridiculous!!

The fact that they offered Zein a plead deal to go easy on Maria and he refused showed he didn't care about his wife either.

Imagine caring more about your  perfect reputation in an unreasonably strict society MORE than the life of your precious child, it’s frankly narcissistic. Honor killings “blood for blood to wash away the shame,” this thinking is just a perverted way to justify the murder. Listening to that tape, I am disgusted by that father’s arrogance and the selfishness of him and his wife. Premeditated murder in the most horrible way. Women are not objects, and women have more value than just the “purity” of their body.

The black boyfriend looks like the young Michael jackson.😢

She got a job as a teenager? Oh the horror!

The devil exists in parents who kill their children...

What hurts me most was when the daughter begged her mother to stop her father but did nothing

The worst wickedness is the one that hide behind religious clothing🚮

What a barbaric tradition! That poor girl’s final moments were truly horrific in so many ways.

She got a Job she got a boyfriend  She got a Black Boyfriend 😮
Trifecta!
The evil parents lost their f'ing minds!

I live in St. Louis. I also attended Roosevelt High School when I was a teenager. I remember this horrible case well. Her parents were sick, crazy, and racist. As other people have commented: if the Isas didn’t want their children to become “Americanized,” then why did they move here? America didn’t need them. Poor Tina. So unfair what happened to her.😢

I usually fall asleep calmly to these shows but this episode had me up, sick to my stomach!

I’m glad Maria wasn’t able to weasel her way to a lighter sentence

2026 update: Tina had six siblings. Two older sisters, Soraia Salem and Fatima Abdeljabbar were caught on tape telling their father to HARM or KILL their sister Tina. Soraia suggested that her father "chain her up in the basement" or simply "hire a hitman" to get rid of her. Fatima stated that "God should make Tina sleep and not get up" (a cultural euphemism for wishing death upon someone). Neither were charged. Her brothers were not implicated but nevertheless defended their parents, both of whom DIED  while awaitiNG their death sentence (only the third married couple to be sentenced to death in American history, after the Rosenbergs and the Copelands; the Gonzales couple followed).

The punishment didn't fit the horrific crime done by these parents.

As soon as they said that young Palestinian girl demanded $5000 from her parents to leave, I knew right then it was a lie and they had murdered her as some kind of 'honor.' I live in the Middle East, and good Arab girls never threaten or extort their parents, but parents have the legal right in many Arab societies to murder women in their families "Honor killings." Beyond contemptible.
