I'm on hour 170-something of my MR0 run. You can actually use primary/secondary arcanes IF you get them from the 1999 calendar. You can't slap them on all weapons, clearly, but I noticed each week there's a decent chance to get one of each. Also, get a pal to start high MR bounties for you, accept the bounty, then have your pal leave the squad, then you can get out in the world and farm it. You can even farm necramech parts like that. No kavats, no robohounds, no syndicates or steel path as you pointed out, no helminth, no archon hunts, no sorties, no liches/sisters etc. You have no actual use for riven slivers so exchange them each week for kuva, then reroll a riven 100 times then dissolve it for endo. The Jade farm yields a decent amount of arcanes which you can break down for vosfor and get other things you might need (SP/circuit arcanes). You can't outright buy weapons in the shop... except if they're in a pack. So if you get a plat discount, might be worth getting some. I'm really hoping the ocucor mod makes a return. Get a sampotes as you're not using your pathos clamps for anything else anyway, slap a heavy slam build on it and you're good to go.

The recent changes to arbitrations and mod capacity calculations were a real blessing for us at MR0. Just yesterday i talked to another tenno doing an MR0 run and he told me that he met 8 people in the last year doing the same. There's more of us out there! Hopefully DE will remove silly MR restrictions on random stuff like quests, nodes or equipment (helminth mainly, since it doesn't make sense, if i made it to the required entrati rank, let me use it). And yeah, the focus trees being locked is really painful. You can't even level your tauron strike beyond the first node. Ugh.

Focus being locked behind MR1 is actually hilarious. The only people crazy enough to have both unlocked focus, and be MR0, are veterans going out of their way to not rank up. Zero reason to have any sort of lock, but is also something only 0.003% of the community will ever learn about first hand.

I ran a Netracell with an MR 0 or 1 once made me laugh

It's so weird there are any MR checks in the game at all for unlocking stuff when they're all like, 2, 4, 8... You would never even notice, those come so quickly. They only exist to ruin this challenge lol

The Focus trees having an arbitrary MR1 unlock requirement is funny as fuck tbh - like, there's no chance in heaven or hell that anyone not doing a challenge run would even get to the Second Dream without ranking up, but someone at DE was still like "can't have the baby Tenno harness the full potential of the Operator, gotta progression gate it".

A TEST OF YOUR REFLEXES?

Don't forget about the Armatus (Deimos Dispruption) mission node, that is locked behind the Deadlock Protocol quest, which is mastery 4 locked.
By the way, once you get a Tektolyst Artifact for one of the focus schools, you receive an unlocked focus node, which you may upgrade! Forget about the other nodes that come after it, because they're still mastery 1 locked.
You might witness repeatable elite alerts rarely, which are basically Steel Path missions, like the elite alerts on 11 Year Anniversary. Acolytes spawn and drop both Steel Essence and their respective arcane drops. I have no issues with equipping them in both primary and secondary arcane slots, because they are showing.
Doing a MR0 run sure makes you think differently and force you to stick with what you have.
