TLDR: not imax, its lumix s5ii.

This is a very interesting video, however I feel clickbaited.

The music makes it IMAX 😄

$500 VistaVision: Sony A7 SII

imax is just going back to 4:3 but i love that

Love this video, it is well thought out, and adds a ton of values for  aspiring filmmakers on a budget

Turns out the title wasnt clickbait at all. Because now IMAX is officially no longer just the camera, but the large format sensor size and or resolution. Which is why now films are labelled as imax despite being shot on digital cameras like the sony venice/burano etc. This dude never once misled anyone, and made the clear distinction by always mentioning "true imax". So yes, hes 1000% correct

this is one of the coolest videos I've watched this year - thank your for the experiment

This footage is stellar. Would love to see more footage examples in future videos.

This is very cool, the footage looks absolutely insane. Nice work!

This is wild! I was just watching another YouTuber who shoots on the S9 and commented that it would be incredible to see it paired with a Kipon speedbooster and 645 lenses. I know the tiny body would look completely absurd, but still. And now here you are basically doing exactly that. Consider my request officially summoned.

Side note: I’m genuinely struggling with whether to move from Fuji to Lumix for editorial and documentary work. 😭

Those shots are absolutely gorgeous.  Incredible you can get such a look for so little money now.  I have most of the Mamiya 645 lenses and this makes me want to get into shooting moving images.

0:17 What a stunning shot

I love this video so much. Your footage looks incredible! Thank you!

This is a really cool concept! Your video looks INSANE! It had a very unique look. I’m very interested and building something similar. Time to start hunting for parts

Love the look of the lenses you used. Great softness in all the right places.

as a Professional photographer over 15+ years just by looking at beginning I thought Lumix I own G4 and G5 in my studio for my video workflow .
Watching IMAX at home is my video channel topic. I've subscribed your channel because you know your craft 👍 I still think 4K is more than enough with good lenses even on huge scale because you'll be sitting further away to capture it with your eyes . We are looking at resolutions too much . Maybe because of my age but I also like softer film look from old days maybe m42 lenses with couple of converters and adding some post we can come up with cheaper FakeMAX. Thank you for good quality content. Best Wishes for your channel

One problem is, Youtube stopped supporting 6k native resolution so its gonna be compressed to 4K anyway. Upscaling to 8k also not the best thing.

It's the bass, the colorgrade, the grain and the aspect ratio that makes it imax.

instant classic video for me, making me even happier than I already was that I own my S5II, the results look absolutely insane
