Don't ever take your good parents for granted! You, young people have your life (good, decent ones) Thanks to your parents' hard work. Don't shame your parents! Because once they're gone, guess what, you have no parents to look upon. Be grateful. I have never been ashamed of my dad. he did everything he can under his power after my mom died when I was three years old. so. Listen young people. You only have one set of good parents. God Bless you all. Love and appreciate each other. By the way, you'll be parents one day soon enough. how would you feel you own children (in the future) disrespect you?
OMG I can relate to the story with the mother that was worried about the daughter's behavior reflecting on her. That was my dad. He never took my or any of my 3 sister's sides -- always worried about how anything made him look. He got so angry about little things and was physically abusive; never apologized just blamed, said it was our fault we made him hit us. My mom was scared of him and never defended us. My older sister committed suicide at 19, her note said in part it was because she could never live up to his expectations. I remember when we came back from the funeral he said 'Why do things like this happen to me?' Never once did he or my mom ask me how I was doing, I was 14. As soon as I was of age I couldn't get away from them fast enough. That was 50 years ago and I can still see the fights in my mind. None of us have had children. The crazy anger died with him.
I would love to be taking care of my mom and be around her all the time as a kid shes working 2 jobs sometimes just to support me and my 4 siblings and I appreciate and love her sooooo much I would give the whole world for her I would do anything for her but that doesn't compare to anything she does for me and my siblings appreciate your parents guys no matter what
