“Parallel universes” directly into “imagine a bus” is masterful work

"Celia Fortnite" lmfao

"What is a glitch? A miserable little pile of code.....but enough zipping....have at you!"

Can’t believe you ranted about the translations without bringing up the ronginus spear or “press l in lid-jump” from aria

Des Lacooda isn't even the worst Konami translation job.

So, the Infernity archetype got a support card based on Kalin, the guy who used the archetype in the 5Ds anime. In the OCG, the card is called "Return of the Reaper".

In the TCG, the card is called... "This Creepy Little Punk".

The flying things the final boss creates look A LOT like Langoliers from the Stephen King book/Mini Series.

38:05 “Imagine a bus” is some elite ball knowledge lol

14:03 best room in the game, you can't change my mind

When I first played this game, I thought using the Cutall’s special attack was the intended way to press buttons on the other side of walls.

For games to be published on the DS there was a technical requirement that the game had to use the touch screen in some capacity in order to pass certification. The touch screen use was definitely shoehorned in. At least in OoE its use was limited to Albus mode

The Portrait of Ruin video is gonna be a fun one

no slur needed, the final boss's creatures looks like the langoliers from the 1995 movie adapation of stephen king work of the same name

I never see anyone mention that instead of doing the 4 normal attacks to buffer for the succubus animation cancel, you can just pause and remove the succubus soul mid animation. Saves mana and possibly time.

Allegedly, Konami didn't want to add the Magic Seal system to the game, but had to anyway due to some requirement for addind some sort of touch screen functionality as a major part of the game's mechanics. Afterward, the Magic Seals were understandably never used again, nor was any other forced touch screen gimmick in the other two DS titles. Aside from the alternate modes, most notably the Stella and Loretta side mode in Portrait of Ruin, but they get a pass in my book because they're supposed to be a bit more gimmicky.

lol people hate the art style and touch screen gimmick but i honestly love them. they might not be “objectively” good but objectivity isn’t real anyway so they’re good and i like them. feels so mid 2000s ds’y especially the way they’re (the portraits) are bit rushed and pixelated reminds me so much of ace attorney and layton and i actually really like the seal mechanic. the audacity of beating a video game boss than forcing you to whip out a fucking pen and draw the super s stussy sign is so funny to me and i like drawing them it’s fun

The ads during Menace are totally just langoliers.

I'm assuming that the doppleganger glitch is due to the game expecting you to have double jump to get it. Since you don't have it the game just automatically gives it to you as a way of fixing a perceived error which actually causes the glitch in the first place.

The rusty food tin (and any other food items that inflict damage/debuffs) can be undone outright if you use the Ghoul soul.

Please never stop making these; they're really fun and entertaining :)
