Metabo SSE 18 LTX BL Compact recipricating saw failure. Not worth fixing a gearbox or motor issue.

Dewalt DCP580 Cordless planer keeps braking blades. New holders, blades and a good clean.

Metabo cordless multi tool, how to replace a faulty switch.

Dewalt DCD796 Cordless drill, new version are no longer able to have the switch cleaned out.

Bosch GBH 7 DE Hammer repair. Faulty trigger switch. Fitting the last known handle, as they stopped manufacturing the years ago.

FF Group recip saw failure. Not worth fixing because it was not left in sooner enough.

Nothing better than a good long tool repair on a Saturday while I'm sitting in the shed servicing my garden tools for winter storage and picking up loads of tricks n tips from Dean, brilliant video as always m8 and liked and hyped aswell m8 👌💯👌🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🍺

Hi Dean you can get a bench power supply for testing various equipment without damaging batteries as well as resetting the trip switch . Great videos as always Dean. keep up the good work Godspeed!!!

The Bosch GBH 7 DE (43:35) are very nice machines. Proper Made in Germany quality. They go well-used for arround min. 250€ ... even after +25 years of use. It's probably the only +25 year old machine that you still can send in for regular service to Bosch directly (at least in Austria, Germany and Switzerland). Keep them alive and keep saving them! They are well worth it.

You should set up a repairability score for each machine you get it. So that people know what not to buy.

40:48 for a dewalt drill maybe could try and drill a little hole to spray in some contact cleaner. Then use some silicone to cover it up back

Been there done that with 54v stopped selling them and stopped repairing them loosing profits from buggering batteries

I am surprised that Dewalt doesn't provide certified technicians with a 54v test bed that mimics a battery but has fuses that can be reset.

I repair the tools for my joiner friend and he has two DeWalt planers with the exact same problem and he says that he's had a wood jam cause the damage. In both cases, the plastic has broken in the same way as the one you're repairing.
