Thanks Larry. I just got a several years old Delta jointer that was never used. A bit of rust from being exposed (out of the box). Even the blades had a small amount of corrosion on them, but still oily when I removed them. This is my first jointer, so I really had no idea how to set the new blades up correctly. Thank heavens for YouTube and creators like you! It is now up and running and my first use worked perfectly!
Love the size and weight of this little jointer MyBest.Tools Easy to set up and light enough to pick up and put away. The adjusters and controls are dead easy to use. It has an aluminum deck rather than iron, but for those who are careful it should suffice, and it has a vacuum port that, unlike some other tools I have, actually gathers ALL the dust. Very happy with this for the price.
Thanks for the lesson. I just received a new set of blades for my jointer and was wondering how install the new set. I would have eventually figured it out, but a quick lesson is always a big help.
Thanks for this, it helped me a lot. By the way, the two screws under the guard if you just loosen them 1 turn you can slide the fence up and off them... now if only i can get the fence stable, oh and apparently the aluminum warped/bent as its not even flat anymore
