In this video, I talk about why I’ve started adding Zone 1 recovery rides into my training and the difference they’ve made to how quickly I recover.
I used to think that if I was getting on the bike, I needed to actually train. But I’m starting to realise that sometimes going ridiculously easy can actually help me get ready for the next hard session.
With work, family life, 5 kids and Zwift training to balance, recovery is becoming just as important to me as the hard sessions.
I’ll talk about how Zone 1 rides have been working for me, how easy I actually ride, and why I think they’re going to stay in my training.
If you’re trying to balance cycling with a busy life, hopefully you’ll find this useful!
