The TVA was built to fix the multiverse. Loki fixed the TVA. So why does the new Avengers: Endgame Encore scene show three thousand universes collapsing? Every hero who tried to fix the MCU multiverse made it worse, and Avengers: Doomsday is where the bill comes due.

From the Time Heist and He Who Remains to Sylvie, Doctor Strange, Wanda, Mister Paradox, Reed Richards and Doctor Doom, every fixer in the Multiverse Saga is cleaning up after the last one. Control breeds a freedom fix, freedom breeds a control fix, and each swing goes further. In this deep dive I break down all four new Endgame Encore scenes (the TVA monitors, Loki at Steve and Peggy's door, Doom collecting Bruce Banner, the mask on the anvil), connect them to Loki's tree at the end of time, the Illuminati, Secret Wars (2015) and Fantastic Four: First Steps, and show the only kind of fix in the MCU that ever held.
