14 Yr Old SHOE SHINE BOY GOT SKILLS! | Downtown Cancun Mexico 🇲🇽

Shoe shine boy, Augustine, is 14 yrs old and has been a shoe shiner for 1 year now. He walks the downtown square of Cancun to offer to shoe shine, shoe polish, or clean anyones shoe, whether they are a male or female -- doesn't matter what shoe one is wearing.

Downtown Cancun, Mexico 🇲🇽

Whatever you think of a 14 year old working the streets to shoe shine, I am just documenting it. Of course, I would rather he could just be a kid. At the same time, we can admire the shoe shine skills he has.

Originally from Chiapas, his father is also a professional shoe shiner, and so the profession stays in the family. He and his father like the Youtube videos we made.

Kids that work for money understand something’s worth.

This boy isn't out there working for himself. He is working for his family. You can tell that because he has an overall clean/tidy demeanor. Someone cooks good food for him and loves him. When he stood up, he made sure to check his own clothes to get out the wrinkles and any loose lint etc was wiped off him.
During his routine, he had upgrades to offer, but he didn't stray from his steps of the job! This boy was trained and trained well. At home, I'm sure he understands his worth in the family. Sus padres le cuidan bien, y el les cuida en revez.
Esto es hermoso! Que El Senor Os Bendiga mucho! <3 <3

It’s amazing how he doesn’t get any on his hands. When I polish shoes, I look like a finger painting toddler.

What a hard young worker
Cool socks btw

Part of this breaks my heart that a 14 yr old has a talent but has to work so young to survive.

I admire kids like him, struggling hard instead of begging.

He was probably like "why is this man following me recording me" at the end LMFAOO 😭🤣🤣🤣

Someone find this kid and give him a camera so he can make his own videos. I watch just about every shine channel, so I would def watch him!

This kid has the 'it' factor. Fourteen years old going on 35. His confidence is admirable, as is his demeanor. Glad you gave him a chance, Jason. 💚

First it was 20 pesos, then he said 25 pesos and the final price was 50 pesos? Damn he gave you the American price.

He has the spirit of a 40 year old man ! This kid will go far in life

Gotta respect this little dude, out there working earning his living. So many others his age turning to a much darker path in Mexico.

He is a little professional 💯

@TheAcadianGuy 5 years ago

I know he's doing this to survive, but you got to respect his skills and professionalism, especially for a boy his age.

Wow the kid is a pro !! Lots of "professional" shoe shiners are too lazy to remove the laces but this kid does it right !!

He is very handy ofcourse, but what surprises me more is his marketing skills! Setting up prices so that upgrade is almost always sold, quoting per shoe so the upcharge for upgrade doesnt sound so high. Very impressive!
