Netflix Presents a new documentary American Marriage on the story of Jason Corbett & Molly Martens. When Jason Corbett (an Irish widower & father of two youngins) found love again with his American au pair, Molly Martens, in 2008, their relationship seemed ripped from the pages of a storybook. Jason, Molly, and Jasons little ones Jack and Sarah, moved from Ireland to North Carolina to build a new life together. But on Aug. 2, 2015, their idyllic story took a dark turn. The accused was his wife Molly & her Father.

If he was so controlling he would have never moved out of Ireland. Do not believe Molly at all.

I believe Molly is the manipulator and her father is the highly experienced enabler….both guilty and deserve life sentences.

They murdered him before he could leave with his kids...then thought she was going to adopt them? I'm so glad to hear they are back in Ireland with their family! Prayers for all ❤

Molly and her Dad totally guilty. She saw dollar signs and the Dad figured he could get away with it because of his background. In my opinion they were let off too easy. They both belong in prison for murdering Jason.

Her sense of entitlement is off the charts. She killed the childrens father in cold blood and then insists on keeping his children??? She sounds like a psychopath, IMO.

I never for 1 second thought that she was not guilty. She is so manipulative.

I think it's clear that Molly and Tom were not victims. 😢😤

Feel so bad for those babies. Thank God they're with his family

Molly and her Dad are guilty and I don't understand how any judge and/or jury could see it any other way!

I listened to this story many times from many different perspectives and I am set on the fact that Molly is absolutely GUILTY!!!

Her and her father are guilty AF. Cannot believe they aren’t locked up. My heart goes out to Jason’s kids and family.

I’m not surprised that the judge granted custody to the aunt. The father put his wishes in writing…that supercedes Molly.

She was making him angry because she was pushing his buttons. Because she was recording him knowing, then she killed him, thinking she would get the kids 😢

Dealing with someone like Molly is a living nightmare. So sad.

I watched the Netflix documentary and the vibe I got off Molly is that she had intentions of taking his kids away the minute they were locked in that relationship. It’s almost like she tried to erase Jack and Sarah’s mom from their lives and replace her. It all seemed so selfish. Molly never took a moment to think about how Jason may have felt trying to hold onto the memory/ties to Mag for both him and the kids. It was all about what Molly wanted and if she had to take Jason out to get it then she would do just that.

When I saw this episode on Dateline a while back ago, I didn’t believe Molly at all and what a coincidence that her father was there when Jason was “abusing” her. This was premeditated, they got away with a slap on the wrist it’s disgusting and appalling. I’m so glad his kids are living in Ireland away from those 2 monsters.

I watched the documentary and thought it was odd that Molly's mum slept through the whole thing!?! You never really hear from her at all!

Nooo !!!! Those poor children!!! Losing their mom and then their dad! Glad they got to go back to Ireland 😢

Jack looks just like his father and my heart bleeds for him and his sister. What kind of wife tells their deceased husband's sibling that they can pay their last respects, only if they pay for the funeral?
