People were debating between trains and trams, and we settled with the Superloop. Truly London moment.

If there is a multiverse where the Cross River Tram got built and used the Kingsway Tram Tunnel I want to visit it

I'm still very annoyed at the Croxley Link being cancelled. I'm reminded of it every time I go to Watford General Hospital and go over that bridge over nothing where the tube line was supposed to run through. All the vegetation that had been cleared for construction to start has now grown back.

We need the wacky futuristic aesthetic of the 2000s more than ever. We’re 24-25 years away from flying cars 😅

So much of these lines on this 2025 prediction I think are really good ideas. Such a shame most were never built

Ah, just before the recession led to plans being massively scaled back. Truly, this is our version of those unrealised 1930s expansion plans…

I was just looking at the 2050 map i did for the Boris Johnson plan.  As featured on the BBC news, don't you know 😊

We originally called the Crossrail station Isle of Dogs as a negotiating point with Canary Wharf Group. We always knew it was going to be under North Dock because the JLE and Limehouse Link tunnels, plus piled building foundations mean that’s the only option.

Build all of it! In 50 years time we will need it all! ( and then some)

The failure of the Croxley Rail Link is one of those mad railway things that really depressed me (surpassed only recently by the Scottish government's bizarre decision not to support the reopening of the the St Andrews branch).

It seemed such an obvious thing to do - most of it was already there! I actually travelled on a section of it in the 80s, when my local team played Watford in the Cup (Watford's ground briefly had its own railway station).

It ultimately failed, not so much because the necessary new bridge was expensive, but because no one was prepared to own the funding of it. A classic bit of 'but for the want if a halfpence of tar, the ship was lost' silliness. So we are left with the madness of, after one of the longest journeys in the Underground, finding yourself not in central Watford at all, but in a housing estate nowhere near the high street.

Fully behind putting at least Superloop buses on the map

So did anyone else see the DLR go through Aldwych?

I do think instead of "Khanageddon"  for the cancellation of the CRL, "Khanage"  would be a better term...

The Goblin line shall always be named so.

I’m disappointed there wasn’t a proposal for a suspended monorail along the Thames, à la Wuppertal

It is handy that Stratford International is called such, as it a good walk to Stratford station itself

The Croxley Raillink was such an obvious thing to build, growing up in Croxley I could see the Met line viaduct from my bedroom window, just a roundabout's width away from the West Watford line. It would have so easy to connect them back then.

The Cross River Tram would, and should be, a massive game changer for London. If I had to rank London's disasters: the 1665 plague; the 1666 fire; the Blitz. I'd put Boris Johnston second, behind Boudica's tribes killing everyone in London. He stopped everything mentioned here just to show off.
