This is a video of surf fishing for Japanese whiting at Futtsu Surf on August 16, 2026.

Last time, I had good results with long casts, but this time there was absolutely no response with long casts...!

I switched spots and tried fishing closer to shore, and surprisingly, I caught several good-sized fish in a row with a short cast.

The fact that it's not always easy is what makes surf fishing so interesting. I'm looking forward to future catches!
