The last time Me First was that scary, a Pachirisu won global.
Jokes aside, hello! First time watching ya. Did wanna comment on juuuust a few things. Firstly, the animator. Souljen, an animator commonly used by Lythero, did the animation for THE ENTIRE FIGHT SOLO with nothing but hope, a dream, and a lot of sleepless nights and energy drinks. What an absolute legend. Easily the best solo animated fight scene I’ve ever seen.
Secondly, yes they did get Johnny for the song. Brandon Yates who does their music mentioned how excited he was to work with him, and Johnny tends to be very open to working with fans on songs so it’s not too surprising, but still it’s nice and the song slaps.
Thirdly, my own take on DB… I definitely agree with a good chunk of your sentiment. It used to be A LOT worse before 2023, and until last year I still argue a lot of them are just not even worth thinking about. Them getting separated from Roosterteeth was great and fantastic, but now some of the ads are uh… let’s just say that the random law firm this time is on the better end and not bring up some of the literal scams.
Fourth, a recommendation. There was a former best Death Battle to this one, funnily also another Sonic one. It was the farewell for a while DB to DevilArtemis, another famous animator who commonly animates Cell with Kermit in comedy skits. So yeah the DB is Metal Sonic vs Cell as is now obvious lol. It’s nowhere as good as this one, but considering this literally shocked EVERYONE with how high a bar it is… yeah that makes sense, and again it was imo the best before this. Good way to dip your toes into DB reacts if you wanna do just a few more at all, there.
And finally, fifth, thanks for reading this far. Hope you keep doing well!

8:44 I think death battle did scale metal overlord to universal chaos emerald stuff in metal’s own episode against cell

Bowser vs Eggman, Yugi vs Ash, and Metal Sonic vs Cell are all very well animated. You should check them out.

Probably the only reacter to actually put together the winner without just picking one based on bias or vibes lol props for being knowledgeable on both characters/verses as well

13:54 I think it’s a mix of the games and movie/anime.
In the movie, Mewtwo just stopped Pokémon from using ANY powers (moves). Forcing them to smack each other normally.

That punch after mewtwo went mega X was actually counter rather than dynamic punch.
