That wasn't about mizi being popular and leaving sua behind
Is about the k-pop industry and how exploiting it is and stuff like that

The KPOP industry is about labelling humans as "idols", and not treating them like one. This is a perfect representation of what comes with becoming an idol: targeting [darts board Mizi scene with the knife, even sx-ualizing it] then losing rapport  [trust from media], then throwing them back after losing some of it [the eyes and limbs being on either sale or a museum piece]. it's dark, but it delivers it perfectly

Mizi did not leave sua behind because of popularity, like you said, it was a commentary about the idol industry because of how corrupt and sexualised it is, especially towards female idols. This is further enhanced by how mizi gets exploited in a whole montage, as well as her performance outfit covering her face and focusing on her body, as well as the primarily male adult audience. You can also see during the sexualisation montage that she is marketed with men despite being at LEAST sapphic, If not fully lesbian, showcasing the heteronormative and objectifying approach the industry takes. And sua, due to her devotion and  almost obsessive attitude towards mizi, she decides to purposely infect herself to be with mizi.

5:28 THE SPLIT SECOND PICTURE

IM ACTUALLY TRAUMATIZED

And the fact that she kissed her to get infected😩😩

7:21 DO NOT SAY THAT. YOU HAVE DONE SO MUCH BETTER THAN OVER HALF THE ALIEN STAGE REACTIONS. (So many of them are just brain-dead 🥲🥲)

Also, you would be surprised at what humans enjoy sometimes. SO many of us are just sick creatures.

Yeah this is much more worse and scarier 😭😭😭😭

How dark this version of alien stage is... Even if it's the same on being in a idol stage but somehow this is much darker. Maybe because their facing the humans rather than aliens.... There's a phrase "humans are much scarier than monsters"

You should react to the Teaser and the comics to understand the lore better

I was waiting for someone in the chat to explain the lore TT but basically, there's this epidemic where gemstones grow inside humans' bodies (aka those that became zombies) and crime syndicates took advantage of that by spinning it to a survival show where the losers' body parts get auctioned (it's like an underground thing so you can see humans are enjoying it). No one really dies yet, I think, that's why "it's a show that never ends", their body parts just get auctioned (for now). This was a nice reaction considering you didn't have any lore about the comics or teaser beforehand, liked that you paused on certain parts and tried to understand most frames :)

True...

The art is amazing. were can i find this?

Btw, this shits going to get worse, so get your tissues ready.

SO if someone doesnt get how they became zombies ill explain it in how i think it happened😼 basically after mizi slaps sua she runs away and we see a zombie go after her, that zombie bites mizi and leaves her in like a alley. Sua  sneaks into the alley and sees mizi and kisses her which makes her a zombie to. I ABSOLOUTLY MIGHT BE WRONG also i know i suck at explaining🤤

Soo yeah Alien stage itself has always been about the kpop industry and how exploitative it is.

Why does nobody watch the teaser it’s important 😫

I will try my best to explain. Sorry for the long rant.

My interpretation as someone who has been a long time viewer of kpop. I definitely think that Mizi was in an exploitative contract that a lot of idols go through. Her being sexualized and also her voice being purposefully cute and higher than her normal voice to reflect how many female idols pitch up their voice for male fans and per the company’s orders to cater to the audience. I saw that Rubyeye said the at was singing like that on purpose. Cause two big concepts of female idols in terms of kpop is sexy or cute. Like the bikini pics of her remind me of the water bomb concert events in Korea where female idols show up in bikinis.

Many people I seen were thinking Mizi got lost in fame and left Sua behind. Or were being distracted by how Mizi was acting sexy and didn’t understood the point of it. But that is definitely not the case if you analyze each frame of that part of the video or just normally watch the video. She is not lost in the game but being used.

Like Sua’s expressions while Mizi were out of concern cause Mizi’s eyes were blank while her outfits and hair was all change to be sexy. Sua was concerned about Mizi’s health, mental health, and how the industry was changing Mizi to fit in the idol’s world if she wants to stay in it. She was concerned for her.

Like the point is that it’s actually her being used by the industry and shaped by what they want her to be.  Like how the images of her being sexy then transitioning to the scenes to her zombie self being silently moved around by people shaping her body positions while getting objects thrown at her.

For the mizi smoking and slap scene. Idols are not allowed to smoke and it’s seen as bad and a scandal. Sua taking it out of Mizi’s hands from my view was an innocent act of caring for her health but also worried about her being caught and getting a scandal but Mizi misinterpreting that the one person she has that she can be herself is telling her what to do and that’s why they fought.

And Mizi got flashbacks to her past maybe about her mother. And you can see that young Mizi had bruises and slaps on her. Maybe she had a bad toxic relationship with her mother and the only way she knows how is what she was taught when she was young. And Sua doing that to her made her have flashbacks.

I seen a lot of people say that the fight is probably her having internalized homophobia cause you cannot have relationships in the idol industry especially same sex. Cause Korea is still conservative regarding that. Cause the way Mizi was acting when Sua hugged her made me agree with the people that said that. And even if it wasn’t internalized feelings, she would still feel like she did something wrong cause she is not allowed as an idol to have any type of romantic feelings. Personally, I feel like it’s both.

I think it’s a bunch of complex emotions for Mizi. She feels like she is being controlled by everyone around her, she got flashbacks to her past maybe with her mom, and her inner battle of feelings that she is not allowed to show. And also her trying to deny the fact that she is being exploited and used by the industry when Sua shows concerned about her health and mental health. And Mizi doesn’t want to come to terms with it and that’s why they fought too.

I interpreted her becoming a zombie as an accident and not Sua’s fault. Cause Sua wouldn’t have known at the time about the zombie outbreak until after many were infected. Cause when the zombie was coming towards Mizi, for a split second, I thought it was a saesang fan stalking Mizi to attack her until I realized it was a zombie. If you don’t know what a saesang fans is, they are extreme fans that stalk the idols and do many illegal activities and harass the idols in their personal lives. There has been many crazy cases of what saesang fans did to idols. Maybe a saesang that was infected by the virus attacked her and that’s why she became a zombie? Cause she is an idol and no way she can go alone without the usual idol mask and hat without someone recognizing her.

It could also be the thing where Mizi was running away to hide from her traumas and herself to conform to the industry and become basically a zombie. I interpreted it as both. Her losing herself and humanity for the idol industry while hiding from her pain and trauma. And her being attacked by a stalker fan that transformed her to a zombie.

And Sua not doing anything I say it was cause she was still emotional and crying after the fight and probably thought it was so random stranger or didn’t even see. But if she did saw it as a saesang fan, it would be sad for Sua to allow that to happen for a brief second and wanting to help Mizi out only for Mizi to become a zombie.

Either way, I interpreted her going inside the quarantine zone as an act of guilt and love. She feels guilty of what happened to Mizi and that’s why she is crying. She is sad for what happened to her but also that smile I interpret it as her breaking and wanting to turn herself into a zombie. She is making herself an idol (zombie in this literal case) so that Mizi doesn’t suffer alone in the world. Sua is breaking herself and corrupting herself for her love for Mizi.

I definitely think Sua lost more parts than Mizi. Maybe to conform the idol standards and the way they want her. Induring the shitty parts of the industry in order to be with Mizi. So Mizi doesn’t suffer alone. And cause she loves Mizi so much that she wants to share that idol dream with her and sing with her forever. Cause there has been many cases of what trainees and idols in the industry has been forced to go through. And Mizi mainly missing her face cause she lost her humanity and her real self to the idol industry. Her being an objectified piece that people don’t see her true self.

One thing to note is that I liked how it’s not their lives they are losing. But the message of them losing pieces of themselves. It’s such a dark message. We don’t lose characters but pieces of them. Like Mizi sings so differently than normal due to the character’s state.

Also, to note, them trying to audition as kpop idols and failing is suppose to show that they dreamed of them being idols together but the kpop world is very competitive so they were not able to get in during high school which is when most kpop companies want you to addition at that age. The kpop world prefers you younger in age rather than older. The ideal age for them is middle school to high school when you start training which could take years. For Mizi and Sua, it seems they got in late after graduating but only Mizi got to make it. While Sua watched from the outside as the industry was forcing Mizi to bend over backwards to change to fit  in that world without Mizi’s consent. And be exploited in awful ways. And Sua at the end joining her to keep Mizi company and to share the dream they had together at the start.

I am excited for the next parts of Zombie Stage!! I am so curious what they will do for Ivan and Till. Cause there is so many things they can do regarding kpop male idols and that side of the industry they can talk about. Especially knowing what we knew from alien stage about Ivan and till’s backstory, they can go really dark and sad with it.

Oh and so you know this au is probably worse than alien stage since they don't even get to die right away, they compete while they're auctioned from a limb, a face, an eye, an intestine, and heart. Until they either get sold completely or until they're physically incapable of performing. That's just me judging based on the information that was given in the song and other comments.

What Vivinos who’s gonna do when zombie stage is finished: cheese stage K-pop stage human stage a ai slop stage everything stage
