What do you think of Horses of Hoofprint Bay? 🐴

I played this demo obsessively when it came out, it's such a detail rich game that was so clearly made with love by horse people to horse people. I'm so excited for the full release.

When I started playing the game I was messing about with the tack and found out you can ride bareback, bridless, or tackless by just dragging your tack back into the space!!

Just FYI the demo is free, the full game will not be afaik <3

This whole video I was BEGGING you to read the books and learn why your horse was refusing 😭😭😭

I've been playing this demo almost non-stop; it's so fun! Just a couple of tips for you (and anyone else interested). The orange strength bar decreases when training or in competitions based on how fast you're riding. If the bar decreases all the way your horse will refuse a jump and could cost you the competition! For the schooling horses you can see in the boarders book the required stats you have to train them to before they get picked up! Or by hovering over the individual strength/endurance bars at the stables (you can also see the max strength/endurance a horse has as well). Confidence increases when you jump correctly and by feeding treats and decreases when you fail jumps or training lessons. Also, you can close the fields before ending the day and the horses stay much cleaner and don't risk as many injuries. I think the tradeoff is that you have to keep a closer eye on their feeding and exercise requirements. Anyway, hope that helps some people! And can't wait for this game to be fully released!!

fun fact!: i love the name pandora, so i named my first horse pandora! i was met with a special coat that was acheived from the name !! its a yellowish coat with a white mane, and slightly darker yellow spots on the body!

I love this game so much!! Just some extra info for ya: Your horse kept refusing because your stamina depleted which was dropping the faster you rode. That little dumbell icon with the exclamation point was to let you know it was depleting ^^ for schooling boarders, in the book it tells you how much you need to train them before they are picked up in order to get paid. Your horse gains confidence with every successful jump, petting them while in the horse care screen when the little green hearts appear (keep petting until they disappear and each horse likes to be pet in a different spot)and feeding them treats. Boarders that need schooling you will notice that green bar(their confidence) is low which is also why they misbehave in training ^^

Pummel was my favorite horse he reminded me of a cute problem child😂

Here are a few helpful tips for the game if you want! 😊

When a horse's stamina is low, that's usually why they refuse jumps.
I recommend upgrading the house as soon as possible, because it unlocks amazing staff options that are inexpensive and actually very helpful.
Though it gets hard as you go on, make sure to NEVER slack on taking care of your horse(s) because you'll end up taking more time than you were trying to save waiting for them to heal.

Yes I'd love to see you stream this! Just, if possible, I'd appreciate as late as possible because I'm pretty sure even about 4:00pm your time is pretty early for me.

Idk about elsewhere but here in the US it was VERY common to see old bathtubs (not the plastic kind of course lol) used for water troughs! It's not as common now days but once in a while it can still be seen.

22:57 for future reference if you press the “s” key like when you are changing gaits that will increase confidence and you can also feed them apples and carrots to increase confidence.

I absolutely LOVE the art of this game! I feel the gameplay itself is a bit too much about the chores for my taste, but I hope it does well, and I could see myself loving this when I was younger! Wish I had a good horse game like this back then

Please check the strenght bar regulary. Such as the exercise bar, it's extremely important. You failed the schooling because you didn't train Enough. As for the stamina, When you run, the arrow is lowering in the strenght bar. That's why your horse is out of breath. You have to be careful with the stamina of your horse!
However, i am glad you tested out the game!

32:40 A lot of the horse names in the game are German and Pummel is German as well. Pummelig means like chubby, so Pummel is a nickname you would give to small, cute and chubby animals or children. Bumblebees are pummelig for example.

I can't wait for it to come out! I love games with realistic breeding mechanics

Play more please 🐎

I LOVE this new game! As a fellow equestrian any horse game i play is either not realistic at all or they are all graphic and no making sense of real life horses.

Finally, i've been waiting for you to cover this so impatiently xD
So glad you enjoyed it as much as the rest of us, its so exciting! Maybe not the horse game we were asking for it certainly is now :)

Yes! Please stream this game demo, I already love how this game feels
