I will put my money to Cong-tractors' businesses and its affiliates. These businesses are inflation proof, are not affected by lost purchasing power of a sliding Philippine peso vis a vis the US dollar! Now I have to build connections to the Palace, the Congress and the Judiciary so my Return on investments shall be stable and huge!

Cure to pain is more pain, and cure to inflation is more inflation.
So suffer for longer hanggang matauhan ang karamihan. The lower class have been enduring, and let those in the upper classes (ung mahilig mga mamulitika, oligarchs) suffer too. Its the only the way.

The best thing to solve Philippines economy is all Filipino billionaires should join together and give EACH filipino one million pesos to improve their financial conditions and possibly eliminate poverty. Filipinos population is about 300 million and that is equivalent to 300 million pesos while filipino billionaires financial wealth is more than a trillion either in pesos or dollars.

How can the guest say that the rule of law in the Philippines is improving when our government cannot even jail (or capture) the big fishes that were involved in the flood control scam? They cannot even jail the former First Lady Imelda Marcos who have been convicted many years ago.
So if I am a foreign investor, why should I invest in the Philippines who is known to reward corruption, as well as poor infrastructure - including regular traffic?? Go figure.

I don't agree with Christina’s statement that we are not doing anything wrong. We are doing everything wrong, and that is why we are one of the most affected countries in the world. Look at the global bond market. How can we mitigate that? How can the government boost investor confidence? With what is going on right now, the USD to PHP rate will surely hit 70.

Too much optimism on a short term and deceitful government policies. And too much dependency on US economy. Our currency is negative compared to Us dollar, but US dollar is also negative compared to other currency like SGD. Making our currency worse. Only remittances keep us going.
