I was almost 5 when this video was made. All these little kids are now late 40s into their late 50's ! My family was just at canobie lake park this weekend 8/1/26 They have many of the same rides. But have also changed alot of the cool things from my youth. The train now only makes a small loop which is unfortunate. Also the cork screw is no longer there. There is a Waterpark which occupies part of that area now. Also the wild mouse roller coaster is no longer there. That was always a fun ride. It was still a fun day. I'm glad we still have this park to enjoy with our kids and glad kids for those who have them already!
This is an absolute marvel to watch. Been a rides team member since 2016 (currently 2026) and I only wish I could've seen the park back in the 80s and 90s
Some areas look completely unchanged today, others are very different. The midway with the Palace Arcade must have gotten a major facelift since then. This video has a lot of footage of the old Galaxi/Rockin' Rider coaster--the Frisbee is there now.
If memory serves me correctly, I think this was the last year for “the Calypso” in the park. At night it was beautiful to behold. Unfortunately, they don’t show “The Swamp” (old dark ride) in this video. That would last 1 more year till the were forced to tear it down.
Went there last weekend. They have many of the same rides they showed in this video, like the Rowdy Roosters, antique cars, sky ride with the same fountain underneath, crazy caterpillar ride and such. I’m so glad it’s still open as many trolley parks are gone, isn’t that true?
Thank you for sharing this. Brings back memories. I also worked at the park many summer's in the food stands. Brought my children there many times also. This video was so fun to watch! Thanks again for posting it
Would it be possible for you to post videos of how the Merrimack Plaza in Methuen MA used to look like in the 90's and early 2000 years back when the Dollar Tree store used to be Jeepers, the indoor amusement park with the arcade games, playground/ball pit, bumper cars, and dragon rollercoaster?
