Yoooooooooo! Any comments & engagement in general really helps as always, but youtube is currently going out of its way to try and ruin their platform between age verifications, AI-based restriction modes & general algorithm that changes daily  lol, so any help boosting this video with comments, likes, all that means the world to me.

Hope you all enjoy!!

I can not describe to you how mad I was watching season 2 and not seeing the kids packing heat 😡

Goldy Pond being robbed from us is one of humanity’s greatest modern anime crimes

I wonder if there were talks to make the Goldy Pond arc as a standalone film during the planning for season 2.

It just seems so odd that they've skipped the most loved arc of the series like they had for the anime. Especially now, that we have Jujutsu Kaisen and Demon Slayer(I'm sure there's others) doing films for some of their big arcs

I will always defend this series whenever It's up for the debate idc.

Thank you for this video! The Promised Neverland is one of my favorite manga and I’m so sick of the negativity it gets online mainly due to season 2 which has tainted the franchise overall! It’s so refreshing to see some talk positively about the series for once!

0:38 Funny bit on that: Stone Ocean actually spoiled that moment in the manga but the anime left it out either out of courtesy or just rights issues.

1:20 the fact I know EXACTLY who your talking about 😂😂

Grace Field House and Goldy Pond were both so incredibly good, that it was nearly impossible for the end of the series to ever live up to them.  While there were parts I enjoyed such as the original promise flashback or the more surreal meeting of Emma and Squiggles, the bulk of the conclusion just didn't match the incredibly high bar the series had set.  In particular, the decision to try to clean up established, popular characters like Isabella, Leuvis, and Sonju dragged it down some.  The fairly large genre shift between Grace Field House and Goldy Pond was a fairly risky decision that only helped to give readers even more faith in the author, enough to likely expect an ending where Emma gets her way without any copouts.  If using an out of ten scale, Grace Field House and Goldy Pond would both be high nines, while the ending would be more like a six or seven, but easily able to feel like a three or four coming off of such incredible arcs.

My introduction to promised neverland was when chapter 1 first dropped and going "well, this truly was different than what nisekoi's tone was" (keep in mind this series started a week after nisekoi's final chapter dropped, which was in 2016 and that just... made me feel old). Chapter 1 I didn't know what it was doing at first but then the hook got me and from there, week to week (or i guess issue to issue) and for about 5 years, I was reading this whole manga.
Goldy Pond was my favorite arc mainly for how the stakes were all under "it's either we live or we're gonna literally become food for these higher demons" in a game of hunting and I loved it, not once did it left me bored.
I think what had bothered me more about the final arc was less on emma's philosophy still being the same (which I didn't mind as her being very consistent throughout the manga was great) but more the confrontation at the orphanage. I am not sure if it had to do with the pacing, the weird "plot armor" stuff or how it tried to get me to sympathize with those who were better off not having it (*koff* Isabella), but everything else was kinda cool.

Though my stance on spoilers is well similae to yours. It is easy for me to forget about certain spoilers (had to do this a lot with jujutsu kaisen, good god it felt unbearable because very few would not shut up about it) and only recall them much later on when I got around to them (kinda me with that Scarface clip except now I am going "ahhhh, so that's the context to this. Good to know that it was worth spending 3 hrs on the film").

Season 2 was so bad that I didn’t even want to read the manga but I’m about to now!!!

8:11 For anyone who wants to start the video where it actually begins

Thank you for making this video! I never got around to reading Promised Neverland, but this video might’ve swayed my opinion to read it sooner rather than later. Amazing video editing as usual Mr. Slime 🎩

Thank God you're still making these videos 🧎🏿‍♂️

The timing of this video is impeccable. With the recent events and climate in American politics, Emma's struggle is way more relatable than ever.

1:47 before ever knowing of OP i saw a gear 5 fight ad and thought "Oh that looks cool i wana watch that"

Love your videos man, great stuff

I was spoiled so hard for part 2 of the story that I gave up. Thank you for this. I appreciate your work.
For the record, I've been an X Men fan since around 1985. The 90s were horrible to me. So many comics went the Rob Lefield "pow bang" big pouches route and I couldn't hang anymore.
I still drop in to read X stories that attract me, and also some others(evil Cap). I still love my Mutants and I still feel like their fight is proper in our world.
My first Anime recommend is Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood. Meeting GOD at the beginning generally messes ppl up. But I am Gen X and we're a little bit odd anyway.

Another awesome video!

Music on point as usual 🔥another banger
