Check out the future updates and the written guide: https://www.mobafire.com/league-of-legends/build/patch-15-s1-2-mel-season-15-guide-by-azzapp-mid-apc-645871?revision

Azzapp is probably my favorite streamer right now and I also followed a lot of his tips which helped me climb a lot this season. But I have to disagree on Malignance on Mel. I played a ton of Malignance Vel'Koz, and it's not bad because Vel has a strong ult which can be used frequently. But Mel on the other hand has an ult that will stay off cooldown half of the time, simply because you haven't picked a fight with anyone, or never did any trades that were worth ulting after. Mel stacks up her ult damage by fighting enemy champions, and it's obviously not as easy as shooting a massive laser from across the lane. While playing Mel, I found myself having my ult ready throughout half of the game without getting any good chances to use it. Not saying that Malignance is useless, but I found much more consistency with Luden for burst or Torch for DPS burn. I simply never found myself in a situation where I went "Damn I wish my ult CD was lower".

I also generally consider Luden to be a much more consistent item on every champion compared to Malignance, but I'm a big Malignance fan and I like to build it on Vel and Lux a lot. I think both Vel and Lux are way more useful with the big burst from Luden on their basic abilities, especially since they have spammable poke, but sometimes it's just really fun to have a 15s ult on Lux.

Also lil trick if u happen to have stacks on blue or baron or something etc, and u have stacks on some champion, your ult wil proc on everything, that have stacks,
which can be used to secure baron as kalista spears,

if enemy jungler jump into pit or something so u have stacks on baron and him u can ult that

Everybody not understanding why Azzapp is telling us to auto between spells doesn't know what auto-attack timers are, almost every champion maximizes their damage by using their auto attack  downtime to get ability damage in.

0:12 As You Should! Damn!!

I'm an ADC main, but this season I went mid, and Been maining Ahri, but Mel. IS. FUN.  just her gameplay alone is fun, and her ability to execute is just the cherry on top. Its been a long time since I was this happy with a new champ.

black fire torch is a better choice in my opinion, it gives the needed stats and the items passives synergize well with mel's kit, compared to malignance. and seraphs is not bad but lacks of damages. imo the go to build is black fire torch + liandry (free burn with our enormous range) and shadowflame for ridiculous damage and MP, then i go deathcap (works well with the big amount of ap given by shadowflame) and to finish the build i go cryptbloom for the cdr and the tankyness) and obviously sorcerer boots
to sum up :
blackfire torch - liandry - shadowflame - deathcap - cryptbloom - sorcerer boots

My Goat.

ty, dark souls god

I've been experimenting a bit with a tankier battle mage build, and it works much better then it should

For people who hates building malignance, ultimate hunter seem to work well as an alternative.

I don't see why you'd necessarily need to weave autos in between E and Q, you can just auto once at the end since that's going to consume all 6 stacks from the passive at once. The only thing you're losing out on is the damage of a regular autoattack and the 1 overwhelm stack you'd get from that, which can of course matter but you're adding a lot of execution time to your combo which has its own downsides.

14:20 according to how her passive is written, it stacks up to 3 times on ability use. So if you use 3 abilities, then auto, you will still get all of the stacks on your auto from using 3 abilities. You don't have to use one ability, then auto, then another, then auto. You can simply stack it up to 3 times, then auto. Maybe some clarification is needed here, but I'm fairly sure based on the wording of her passive that you are wrong here.

Yippie first to Mel guide

cant wait to play her, once the hype has died down.

idk man.. Malignance does not seem to do anything for mel to me, other than reduce ult CD, the circles are useless, i feel like the other lost chapter items are better in almost all cases.

Was this guide made pre-nerf or post-nerf? I wonder because of the lane clearing capabilities, if they changed at lvl 5 with blasting wand or 7 without :D

What changes would you do for support mel?

Is Malignance still the best chapter item even after the hotfix nerf ?

Not a fan of this build im gonna be honest. Malignence doesn't do much itself as most of the time you're using R to kill people, so the damage pool only effects pople who happened to stand next to the person that died, so it only works in teamfights, but that is also not happening every time and for that scenario there is a better item anyway. As for Shadowflame, it doesnt make your passive activate considering the crit, and having that execute bar means basically that you're reducing the potential time that the crit can be active (maybe it doesn't matter much but it doesnt sit right in my head). It still is probably the item that will make the ult deal the most damage itself tho. I do feel like Mel scales better with CDR.

I've been going BFT and Lich bane core. BFT has a passive that will actually deal damage during fight and poke, and the ap amp portion makes so much sense for teamfighting, letting you have bigger ults if you tag multiple people. It also has more haste. Lich bane gives you so many good stats, with the haste, combined with the bft, surpassing even malignence's ultimate haste. It help with burst, as you should always aim to aa your target, and also gives a lot of consistent damage, being active after every low cd Q.

Would love to hear your thoughts about this.
