I'm an experienced camper so nothing on your list was a surprise to me however I appreciated the video and my favorite tip at the end was the reminder to always have a stash of cash. I am so used to using debit or credit for everything nowadays. It's important to remember the cash too.
One thing you did not mention that I always take are a few bungee cords. They always seem to come in handy for something. I've even used one as a makeshift paper towel holder hooked to the car seat headrest.

A Freshette. It is for ladies to use for #1. The best part is you stand using it so if you have knee, hip or ankle issues it is perfect. Also, great in a tent with a jug or bottle and can be used while kneeling. I've carried one for over 40 years and even keep one in my daily driver as well as my camping rig. If you hate public restrooms, you can use it there and avoid sitting. And when I travel with someone else I carry one in my handbag in its own cute zipper bag. If you have disabilities the Freshette can be a godsend giving you a way to compensate for some disabilities. It sure beats the heck out of squatting for #1 and makes it easy for you to use a bush just like the guys do.

I really want to start, but I’m so scared alone…

You did not mention the hook at the end of the mallet. It comes in handy if you can get the tent pegs out.

All excellent items! This is a really helpful video - thank you! ☺️
I hope it's okay to add my tips:
Having horses for the past 25 years got me used to wearing a headlamp over my ballcap. It's great to have both hands free, and the optional red light is paramount for keeping bugs away from your face at night.
A sharp, folding pocket knife in your pocket at all times.
Bear spray in the other front pocket.

1 Light I carry is a tactical flashlight the more powerful the better deters animals and bad guys.

As it’s for women, you’ll need a jar opener and a pair of stepladders as well😊

Being a solo female camper, I love the added security of taking along a big can of bear spray, an air horn and plan C, a firearm. Then what can go wrong? But for added camping fun, I take along a trail camera that has Bluetooth with an app for my phone and position the camera facing my campsite.Sometimes it’s interesting what comes around your campsite while you’re asleep.
I like the idea of the string lights with the remote control, I’ll look into getting those.
Great video!

I have 2 headlamps - one at home and one in my car. I love them because I don't have to worry about holding a light when I'm trying to do something. I discovered the cold air mattress situation when I slept on a friend's air mattress and I was cold. I realized that my body heat was dissipating. The next night, I had an extra blanket under me and that really helped to keep me warm. It's helpful to carry small demoninations of cash for places that don't have change. Besides, you don't want people to see that you have a wad of cash. Have a decoy stash of a five and some ones near the driver's seat and then hide the rest of the cash elsewhere in the car.

I LOVE my camping swing 💗

I have camped for over 50 years now but the lighting you missed are headlamps that have red-light and white especially the red in my tent. White lights draw bugs and mosquitos

If it's really cold , I will take a reflective blanket under my sleeping bag over the airmattress. Instant relief!!

The gloves make so much sense! I don't know why I didn't think of that before. Thank you!

I am a solo female camper age 75 and I’ve been using every single one of your suggestions for years. Besides the shrill whistle I also bring a taser and a truckers tire thumper for protection. Fortunately I’ve never had to use any of them. I’ve met solo women campers who carry guns, but I choose not to.

Great video! One thing I learned to take on the road is a handheld cb radio for the National Weather Channel. It has saved me by not taking certain routes. Also you can listen to truck dirvers talking about accidents and detours.

Finally someone talks about a tent pallet! Thank you!

Happy to say I have all these things…. Getting ready for a camping trip in beat county. Almost cancelled…. Hope to stick to it, haven’t camped in bear areas before

I had to use a regular whistle , doing the SOS signal when I got really sick in back country at high altitude in the Sierra.

I was so sick as I stumbled out of the back country, but it was still miles to where I parked, because roads were closed for the winter.

I didn't think there would be anyone around, but there was a hermit at the end of the road, who heard me, and he drove up the hill and let me jump in the back of his truck to be driven up to my car.
I was so grateful and relieved!

Scissors and a can opener are items I always make sure I have when I take a trip on the road. I don’t always need the can opener but sometimes something comes up and it’s canned food to keep sustained.
