IF humans survive, the changes that will occur, will take place so slowly that people will simply adapt, as they have always done. The earth will be very different but so, probably, will we. It’s an interesting thought experiment.

After another hundred million years of evolution, "humans", if they have not gone extinct, will have evolved into a species so different that it would hardly be recognizably human.

Very interesting! I think about the dinosaurs. They don´t needed 100 million years to became birds. So, if manhood survives, maybe we become the "birds" of actual manhood? "birds" with a few traces of the old homo sapiens in them? Although we never know how these new entities act, what culture they have, what kind of technology and science. But from todays viewpoint, we never know.... because- knew dinosaurs the art of to be a bird?

Can humanity last a hundred-million years? Of course but we will have to prepare ourselves for certain things such as our homes, schools, places of work and familiar products such as Corn Flakes, Volkswagen and Oscar Myer might not be the same or even exist (gasp!). That is why we must prepare ourselves for a world that will more than likely include me but might not include you. Be strong and make sure you have a will!

What a fascinating subject for reflection! Thank you for raising it. I have a few thoughts which I will mention here and add to in the further posts below.

1. One hundred million years ago, dinosaurs ruled the Earth. In the next 100 million years, if our descendants survive, they will likely become a 'Type III Galactic Civilisation’ - that is, a species that controls the energy of entire galaxies, manipulates stars, and looks back at 21st-century humans the same way we look back at single-celled organisms.

It seems to me that our challenge might be that we leave behind the ingredients for a civilization for more successfully evolving species. Clearly from my perspective human civilization is imminently doomed. perhaps we can leave enough of our garbage behind for other species to cobble together a more sustainable AI of their own.

It's all guess isn't it. What is the probability of an intelligent species, out living it's own advanced technology stages? When the species can't even co-operate with each other and work together for common goals. Then the Super Artificial Intelligent machines they create, learn from us with all our faults, that it is acceptable to bomb each other with nuclear weapons. I'm placing my bet on the only remains of us will be trace elements from our impact on Earth as the likest scenario.

Interesting video. However, better to ask what will happen in 100,000 years. The short answer is that humanity will have wiped itself out by destroying nature, succumbing to natural catastrophes, world-wide infections and pandemics, and by destroying each other's population through wars and conflicts. In fact, I would give humanity no more than 1,000 years to get there. And for all those still reading their SciFi comics (including the idiot Musk followers) , forget about going to another planet, let alone another star system. So, enjoy the moment.

If human don't get it down to extinction and survive this very very long period of time humans will evolve very much quite different form using planetary terraforming and solar stellar equilibrium engineering far beyond our physics knowledge in a multiple dozen million years survival if human survive with out facing extinction if not another form of silicone human conciousness machine.in a multi dozen million years survival.
