Haven't finished the vid, sorry if this is brought up, but if you check Asriel's bed, it mentions that there's a copy of Cat Petterz under it, and there's catti and catty written on it with gel pen. In the Mike fight, one of the random flavour texts is "Smells like dried gel pen." So the Mike room is 100% connected to that copy of Cat Petterz.

what if "deltaramble" was named "deltagamble" and it was about gambling

What if it was called DELTARAMB and it was only a thing for freedom big shot world revolving penumbra phantasms?

43:00 a very interesting fact about the candies! They do not drop at all on your first attempt at the boss. The chance for a little Friendling to drop a candy slowly increases each time you die to the fight, so if you wanted to could interpret that as Friend going easier on you when he sees that you're struggling.

“Bro’s not even real.”

loud sobbing “YOU’RE REAL TO ME! YOU’RE REAL TO ME!”

39:30 I feel like there's a much easier answer to this question than was brought up; Which is little copies of oneself as bullets in a fight is a thing Darkners just Do. The most obvious example is even connected to Friend; in his first encounter Spamton spits out little copies of himself to run at you. Spamton. Who is know to copy other people. Has an attack similar to Friend's.

I can think of someone who might like to be on the show

Eram was so good at their job that we didnt even know if they existed

I think the whole "lack of choices in the mantle game" very much ties into what the weird route is thematically, which is the removal of choice. Obviously the main part of that is the suppression of kris and noelle's agency, but in the weird route you have far less choices than the main (you HAVE to freeze enemies, you HAVE to select the right dialogue options, whereas in the main route all of that is a choice you can make)

I don't know if this is commonly known because I've never heard ANYONE bring it up so I thought I would mention it here. The other day while replaying chapter 2, I noticed the dust from those empty chests in queens basement, aren't actually dust. They're micro friends. All of them have 2 pink and yellow pixels, and the remaining white pixels are shaped perfectly in that of a smile. It creeped me the hell out when I noticed. I doubt I'm the first but again, NOBODY said anything about it before...

I love Cammy and Seek. I wish they were real

This feels like watching a science podcast with 2 very smart people talking about some paper one of them published, except it's completely tailored to my hyperfixation, thank you for this.

Also about the prophecy vs the tail:
This duality is established way back in Toriel's hallway in chapter 1 with her 2 books:
"Tales of Snails, a storybook"
vs
"Snails do not have Tails, a Scientific Refutation"

8:16

Chapter 3 "IT smiled somewhere else"
Chapter 7 "The place where IT smiled"

supporting evidence im surprised wasnt brought up:

the shadow mantle speaker after the fight implies they will meet kris again at a later point. the next time friend appears in the third sanctuary he shows up as a black sprite against a black background, just like the speaker text on the first board.

that whole ice palace + northern lights thing is nuts, i’ve never connected that that’s insane

In philosophy they call this Occams Twisted Sword

My headcanon for this video is that the Guess Who? Games against Seeks is what caused this.

I always thought FRIEND was an "ascended" creature. Its starts as a creature in Noelle's video game, finds a way to become a darkener, and then finds a way to become a Lightner, then finds a way to become a "DEVICE LAYER"-er. It has done what Spamton tried and failed to do. ERAM in my mind was just this but shortened. A creature reaching HEAVEN.

So in the space of the Mantle-game, The mantle is an object that has come to life that fights against an already living creature, the "hero" we play as. This culminates when we, as Kris, enter that layer, and uplift the Shadow Mantle from its world (MANTLE GAME), into ours(DARK WORLD). In this way, The Mantle has reached its own HEAVEN.

11:18 poor guy. His brain is bout to stop making sense.
