You know, I've been watching hockey mask paintjobs for 156 years and this is by far the most accurate Part 3 paint tutorial I have seen, this looks really stellar and incredibly cool, absolutely love this!

The nitrocellulose lacquer gives such a vintage look to that paint up. This genuinely looks like it’s been kicking around for 40+ years

I'd put this more in the part 4 category but with undamaged chevrons.  Excessive weathering for a part 3 in my opinion.  Also I commend you on a different approach but Maimeri patina varnish is the only way to go.  Yes it sucks to work with but that's the real deal.  Still a great job.

Maybe you can help me out.  I used Rustolem 2x paint and primer blossom white on both sides.  I plan on using golden acrylics to tint the blossom white base-coat to give it a patina yellow/amber look.  I plan on using Watco nitro lacquer to get authentic checking/cracking effects.  Will the nitro lacquer interfere with the under paints at all or am I safe?

I tried using that patina varnish and it was a disaster.  The watco lacquer interferes with it causing it to spiderweb.  I wonder if you can use a water-based acrylic varnish like Liquitex or Golden and tint it an antique ochre color and use Watco on top?

Question, so I use the patina varnish and thin it with paint thinner used to thin oil paints works great my question is can I use laquer thinner after applying the varnish or will it still make it crack? Lastly can I brush it on or? Any tips would be appreciated because doing the cracks by hand is a pain and takes hours lol thanks for the video.

Very nice! I googled PETG blank and read that's just describing the plastic. What is the source of your blank? I've bought mask directly from the screen used pulls and even their part 3 is off a little. This though looks amazing. They way it lays is just like when the part 4 mask hits the floor!

What brand of tinted 2K clear are you using to mix that Copic light camel into? I'm struggling to find one that mixes well with color additives that sprays through my gun properly.

Great video.  I'm currently painting a 3 and 4 using dover white.  I did buy some of the patina varnish.  Any tips on using it since you mentioned you don't care for it?
