The highlight of this movie for me was when @bimboademoye sold all her designer bags, shoes and dresses just to help her husband start afresh. She was even ready to move into a smaller space and walk through poverty again as long as she had to do it with her husband.
When she spoke with the older woman in the estate and cried bitterly, I thought she'd leave him. I almost got angry that she could even contemplate it.
But she stayed.
There's something about women, we rarely walk away from a man who has genuinely done right by us. who has made life easier in real, consistent ways.
Women do not leave where they are treated right!
Notice how she defended her husband when Mrs. Dekan spoke low of him? That's the length a woman will go for a man who acts right, both in public and behind closed doors.
It was easy for demilade to adore and submit to her husband because he created a safe space. His wealth was not a license to mistreat her or Mk her shrink...what most men needs to learn, this isn't just a movie.
