Actor Kyohei Shibata appeared at the premiere screening of WOWOW's "Double-Edged Axe," in which he co-stars with Arata Iura, held in Tokyo on October 26th. He appeared alongside Iura, Jun Kazebuki, and director Yoshitaka Mori.

The drama is based on Takeaki Daimon's novel "Double-Edged Axe" (Chuko Bunko). Detective Shibasaki (Shibata) of the First Investigation Division, whose eldest daughter was murdered by someone, pursues the truth of the case with his subordinate Kawasumi (Iura), but the case goes cold. Fifteen years later, things start moving again with the establishment of a "Special Investigation Team" specializing in reinvestigating unsolved cases. Kawasumi joins the reinvestigation, while Shibasaki pursues the truth on his own. As the two men from different backgrounds clash, the case takes on a new dimension...

Starting November 13th, the series will air every Sunday at 10 PM on WOWOW Prime and WOWOW 4K. There will be a total of six episodes, with the first episode being free. After each month's premiere, all episodes will be available to stream on WOWOW On Demand.
