44 years later and I'm still watching Clark

She caught on to the dog wayyyy faster than most.

a movie from 40 years ago and the special effects are still brilliant.

That escalated from "...why are they shooting at the dog?" to, "Shoot the dog! Set it on fire!"

I'm normally not a fan of movies who leave the end ambiguous but for the nature of this movie I really enjoyed it.

The scene with dog chase is perfect IQ test. Most people fail, you didn't. You nailed it, logic over feelings.

Yeah, you clued in to there being something up with the dog faster than most. Most stop at "aw dog, don't shoot it" until the reveal.

Kurt Russell in "Big Trouble in Little China".
The dog, a malamute-wolf cross, is amazing. They devoted a day to the slow walk down the hall as the camera dollys back. They thought the dog would be distracted by the crew and the camera movement. Nope. He did it in one take.

Practical effects will always be better in horror films when its done right. RIP TK Carter

The man who jumped when th dog bumped him under the table was the one who was shot in the leg.

I couldn't take my eyes off the things

Having a heart attack doesn't make you an alien... He was, but not because of that.

The dog didn't bite the guy under the table. It brushed against his leg where he'd been shot. I'm guessing it was sore.

The Thing is a masterpiece just like those 2 things...

That dog was a great actor

One of my favourites. Right up there with the very first Alien movie.

Hi from Canada. 🇨🇦

I’ve heard that the staff at McMurdo station have a tradition of watching this film during the longest night of the Antarctic winter.

Sounds like my kind of people😅

The dog/thing didn't bite the guy's leg ... He brushed beside his leg that was recently shot and stitched up.

One of the best creature features ever made and it has Kurt Russell in it, some truly imaginative monster effects, always loved this film since seeing it on an old video recorder a few years after it came out,.
