OMG, thanks for sharing.
I was lucky enough to be at Freddie's tribute concert and witness the powerful vocals of George's performance of Somebody To Love.
He began singing Queen's songs '39, Those Are The Days of our Lives with Lisa Stansfield and told us about aids awareness.
He then sang Somebody To Love and as I and my brother were on the pitch standing, we could see the seated audience conducting a Mexican wave to.
It was that day forward, I became a George Michael fan.
RIP Freddie & George xx

Legend!

Yikes, 40 years on, I've tears in my eyes😢

❤

A different interview with George Michael before his death said that he had to perform at the Tribute concert the day he found out his partner had AIDS.  That was 1992 which was well before there was treatment and so most ppl knew AIDS was a death sentence. So George was worried about his partner and his future.  But he still put his effort into the concert.

At this time of this interview only friends, not his family, not people knew that he was gay and with a boyfriend who was in terminal ill of aids! That's why he made a fantastic show! For anselmo!

I’ve always said Sheer heart attack is Queens best ever album. It has absolutely everything. Great rock songs…Brighton Rock, Now Im Here and Stone Call Crazy. Anthemic songs like Lap of the Gods. Cool pop tracks like Killer Queen and Bring back Leroy brown. And of course Desr Friends (that Brian actually wrote) which is beautiful. Honestly buy that album if you don’t have it, peak Queen.

Long shot I know but does anyone know the sunglasses George is wearing in this interview? Google ai and ChatGPT don’t!!! 🤷

Who is the woman at the beginning?
