Hi! I'm Tuma, a Japanese woman living in Tohoku, Japan. Enjoying the solo life. π―π΅
Took the train to Ishinomaki, Miyagi, then a 40-minute ferry out to Tashirojima β the cat island. ποΈ
It was raining when I left, the line for the ferry was huge on a weekday, and the first cat I met bowed to me. π€£
Fried oyster curry with rice shaped like a sleeping cat, cat lunchtime at noon, and a whole island where every cat has a name.
By the time we arrived, the rain had stopped.
I hope you enjoy a day on Japan's cat island with me!

The cats on Tashirojima all seemed to spend the day at their own pace. Some played, some explored, and some simply slept wherever they felt comfortable. π±
When you need to slow down, what helps you relax?
Iβd love to hear yours. π
