Excellent video.  I have a '75 Le Grande, still EFI, and I'll be needing to do some work on it soon.  Your explanations of the various components as you went along are super helpful because I've never worked on an EFI motor before.  I have several manuals that cover the Beetle EFI, including the orange Bentley, but this was great to add as a resource.

Thanks Alex, I enjoy your content. Looking forward to the fix!

Great 👍 video

Great video of your right arm, shoulder and back.

I've replaced a few of these but I attacked by removing the left intake instead. You then split the plenum and you can get to all 4 bolts that hold the fan to the shroud. Replace the plenum gasket which can be an air leak issue.  I don't touch the shroud at all which saves the hassle of fighting that war.

Great video— is it the same process for a 1971 super beetle with a generator?
