This is the actual Lord Vorak (or the person who did the project). It was influenced by avant-garde composers, like Stockhausen, Boulez, etc. as well as noise acts Merzbow- and of course the more extreme metal acts of the time (Abruptum, etc.). The owner of the record company (Modern Invasion Music- the owner of the Destruktive Kommando sub-label) was a fan of experimental music, and also of the philosophy of Nietzsche and Wagner, as was I. So- no it was not a parody, but an attempt to be as strange and extreme as possible. Looking back, of course it was self-indulgent, over-the-top, etc., but I was very young then. Also, although people are entitled to criticize my musical abilities, I can play just a little, possibly a little more than those making the criticisms. I have uploaded a short improvisation (with some of the recognizable Vorak style), so you can see that this is genuine- https://youtu.be/EDIcgzlSOcA. Or here is a Bathory (Holst) cover: https://youtu.be/hKFpoRkkYvQ .Or something a little more martial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5PaMewfk3Q
As someone actually from Melbourne, it was always regarded as a joke album and nobody I've ever met actually claimed to know who the guy was. I've always strongly suspected that this was satire along the lines of those Sadistik Execution side projects right from day one.
When you said an australian artist being the worst black metal project you ever heard, my heart stoped for a secound thinking oh no he discovered my old bandcamp albums.
