In the original Rocky, he was a flamboyant champion, in the 2nd he was a heel, in the 3rd he was a mentor, in the 4th a fallen hero. And Carl Weathers handled it all brilliantly. RIP, Champ.

Charm, class, intelligence, wit, and utter sophistication. Carl Weathers was a sparkling gem of a man. His legend will live on.

Watching Predator is gonna hit very differently from now on

Man he is rocking the hell out of that suit! So dapper. RIP Carl; you will be missed.

From Happy Gilmore to the Mandalorion, Carl was a great talent, RIP.

Carl Weathers always looked like he could just go back on the football field or boxing ring! Great actor and personality. He will be missed.

RIP Carl Weathers, he bought joy to millions of people around the globe, absolute legend

Man, Carl Weathers was my epitome of smooth. What an amazing talent and life.

You made Rocky the man he is, Apollo. R.I.P.  😭

I like how you can tell he isn't that comfortable with the attention, but he is affable, charming, and rolls with it.

“You know Stallion, it’s too bad we gotta get old”
Such a great action actor, Predator and of course Rocky.. RIP mate

I was fortunate enough to work with Carl Weathers a couple of times on a tv show he was directing. Super nice guy. As busy as he was, when i came to set he walked up, shook my hand and introduced himself. Great guy. Rest well Carl

RIP Carl. Thanks for all the great entertainment. Condolences to family and friends.

Rocky 3  has always been an inspirational movie for me. A big part of that movie is your character motivating Rocky to get his "Eye of the Tiger".  RIP Mr. Weathers.

Hard to believe this healthy man has passed. He was in the best shape of everyone in the gym.

Rest well Carl Weathers.....thank you

Just about to turn 40 when this was taped; Leno is 2 years younger.

Life is short. Tell those you love how you feel.

I remember this episode like it was yesterday. R.I.P. Carl Weathers.

Awww man, I had a hard enough time with the deaths of Apollo Creed (Rocky IV), Dillon (Predator), and Chubs Peterson (Happy Gilmore) but this one sincerely hurts.  RIP Carl Weathers, one badass gentleman muhfuh… 😔
