6'5" tall, 260 pounds & 100 metres in 10.8 seconds!! 😵 incredibly he played with Nephrotic Syndrome a very serious kidney disorder which meant he was probably only about 80% fit when he did this, he passed away in 2015 aged just 40 - THE GOAT 🙏

It's 2026 and Mike Catt still wakes up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat at the memory of Lomu bearing down on him 😂

A true phenom, a genuine rugby legend, and an overall class act. RIP Jonah.

6'5" 275 lb
10.8 100 meters (thats 110 yards)
At least half his career his kidney issues required him to get dialysis twice a week
He is said to be the kindest, gentlest person you would ever meet.

You can't go wrong reacting to anything on Andrew Forde's channel.

I met Johna when i was doing security at the world cup in Auckland. Really nice guy

Dear Jonah.... died far too young with kidney failure. He was our absolute gentle gem. Peace and love from NZ.

Not just a rugby legend, one of the best human beings there ever has been. Not many get tears from around the world when they pass. We don't have an English word, millions didn't "love" him, but it was much, much more than like, especially from opponents. RIPxx

And he was one of the most gentle souls you'd ever meet.

RIP Jonah. I've said this on other reactions to Jonah, but the crazy thing about him is that he played in All Black teams that were usually bursting at the seams with legendary players. The very worst thing about him was that if you were playing against an ABs team with him in it, you not only had to try and contain Jonah, but also somehow have enough left to cover all the other threats. It wasn't just his try scoring, it was the fact he forced teams to watch him, to over commit to marking him, which left gaps elsewhere. He isn't the only ABs winger that has had that impact on defences, but he was surely the best at it.

Jonah made things look easy😂

RIP Jonah

I went with our younger son to the Rugby World Cup final at Twickenham in 2012.  Before the game, Jonah Lomu was in one of the bars, chatting to fans and having his photo taken with them - completely down to earth.  Sadly he died not that long afterwards, possibly because his kidney condition was exacerbated by the long flight back to New Zealand.

A huge guy, sadley he died in 2015, I was lucky enouigh to meet him, I picked him and his wife up from Heathrow airport a couple of times and drove him into London.

First time I saw him I knew people were talking about him but when he knocked two top international players out the way and carried another two on his back to the try line I knew the Kiwis were not lying about him. I have heard that when people tried to wind him up he would smile sweetly and say "Jesus loves you" , which was much more intimidating than any roasting. A great player and loved by all rugby fans across the world. RIP Mr Lomu, it was a privilege to watch you humiliate my heroes.

A genuine GOAT. Saw him Barbarians V Lions early noughties at Twickenham, unstoppable.

There have been many great Rugby players, some were known for being, fast, some for being strong, some for technical brilliance. Jonah Lomu was known to be the best at everything. Aside from being a kicker he could do it all. To put in in NFL terms he had the speed and agility of a wide receiver or Running back and the strength and size of a  line-backer or Defensive Tackle.

Big love from new zealand brother. Growing up jonah was honestly a hero to me, we didnt have a lot growing up but what we did have was rugby and we played it every day at school religiosly, for us kiwi kids jonah was more than just a big guy or an awesome rugby playeyrhe was everything we wanted to be inside and out no matter if you were a white kid or an island kid. To this day my heart swells when i think of jonah. Peace homie, also I have a lot of love for the USA without you we wouldn't have the safety we have come to enjoy and as an ally of the states i want you to know much of the world relies on a strong america and we want to see you succeed!!!! USA is the greatest nation on earth and never forget it brother!

Sadly Jonah passed  due to kidney problems.  Problems he fought with through his career as a rugby player.  I is missed buy all us here in New Zealand.  A legend to his own skills. Rip Johna

If you haven't seen his funeral........ It's a must watch. 15 minute video
