I'm glad you did the album version. The studio did a horrible slice and dice job on the middle section for the single. Besides the long version is what they used to play on FM stations when it came out so you're getting a better feel for what it was like driving around as a kid in '82.

I’m 75 and this is one of my all time greatest R&R songs. Brilliant!

The music video to this song is “killer” 😁. No really, it’s a must, it’s the way we all came to know and love this song.

Man, I can remember laying in my dorm room listening to this song on my Yamaha stereo system. Only light in the room was the faint light of the display on the stereo. Headphones on and I could be lulled to sleep with that riff blaring out. Oh the memories

I can close my eyes and see the MTV video play in my mind as I listen to the song.

Golden Earring was a great Dutch rock band founded in 1961. They were big in The Netherlands. "Radar Love" was their biggest international hit in 1973. But they had other songs such as "Twilight Zone", "When The Lady Smiles", "That Day", "Candy's Going Bad" etc.

That song in the Walkman made you feel like a little 14 year old bad ass.

One of the smoothest solos

My favorite song ever. The video is really cool and way ahead of its time in 82’.

When I think of Golden Earring I always think of Radar Love. I didn't even think I was going to recognize this one and then the moment that started it all came flooding back and I remembered loving this song. It was on alternative radio a lot and I also heard it a lot of clubs and it really does make a great club dance song.

Windows down, speed set at 80, speakers literally blown! ❤

You need to watch the official video if you think this tune isn't weird. You'll have a different opinion "when the bullet hits the bone..."

Great song! You have to do Radar Love next. Very different from this but it's a classic banger that you'll dig.

Fun fact. Mid to late 90's a pinball game was released based on the Twilight Zone tv show. During gameplay, an instrumental version of this song played.

And you skipped right by the Wiki fact that this was inspired by the book "The Bourne Identity" which I had no idea and now I'm going to picture Matt Damon every time I hear this song! 🙂❤

I Can Never Get Tired Of This Masterpiece

Try Giving Billy Thorpe "Children of the Sun" a Listen.👍

Congrats you are one of the few reviewers who reacted to the full version. The short version is emasculated by having pretty much all of the intrumental work cut out. This is one of my favourite songs, although I do admittedly have a lot of favourite songs (hundreds literally).
