I was born in ‘57 things look so different from todays cars. Amazing how technology has changed the speeds here at Indy. This race 140s are tops today 2026 230+. Life is what you make it folks. Life is short don’t  Dwell on your problems. Love life and respect everyone.

This 1957 film by sponsor "D-A Lube" is fantastic! The filming was superb and the use of the classic ANSCO film (which was one of my dad's favorites in picture taking) was great classic color.
Intresting to see the improvements on the main straight with the new "Tower Terrace" and pit wall down the track.
Sam Hanks was a legend...great to the Speedway and the IMS Radio network.
Many good drivers back then in the 1950s.

I was a Sam Hanks fan and was at that race as a 17 year old kid. I think Jimmy Bryant drove that car the next year and won.

Good account of Indy before roll bars and real helmets. The drivers head stands up high.

Old time Brickyard!

Hanks pulled into Victory Lane and retired from racing on the spot.
