Hey y'all! What other competitive aspects of Beyblade would you want me to cover? And if you liked this video, please consider subscribing! :)

Today I learned there is a passionate competitive Beyblade metagame

Today I learned that Beyblade is not only alive and well, but was never hyped-up rubbish to begin with, and actually had significant stat changes that mattered.

Damn never knew beyblades went this deep

i cant believe beyblade still isnt solved even tho production of new parts has stopped around a decade ago

Back in the day some kid did something similar to this but it was a desperately thrown together Forbidden set up. He went from getting whooped to reverse jumping me and ten other kids beyblades at rescess, bro really had reached inside his back pack, threw some shit together and became unstoppable.

I don’t play beyblade, but I like the history around the culture you narrate through your videos so I always click on them when you post. Keep up the good work

Intellectually i knew there had to exist a Beyblade meta, but i had never seen or heard of it before this moment. I appreciate this video for its representation of the essence of the human spirit

Did I just find a mini documentary on competitive beyblade which is apparently a thing? Hell yeah.

the person who made this combo was probably an engineer that looked at the "type charts" for strengths and weaknesses and just said, "Hold my beer."

Kinda crazy that Flame Byxis had such a similar combo in stock, i really struggle to think about any other stock combo that can even put up a fight against that

The mysterious combo that was mentioned in the end of the video is Gravity destroyer CH120 MF and it is very effective against Flame 230 CS and pretty much against any other beyblade combo in the limited format.

I didn't know competitive beyblade existed until now. It's funny, I used to play with friends and other kids at school and I loved using a rather tall combo kinda for the same reasons as those you brought up in your video. I almost never lost

Wait... people play with beyblades in real life? That's fucking rad!

I swear that tornado stalling was the plot of a minor arc in the show, where it was impossible to know where the attack would come from and therefore defend against it

Sometimes you see a video about a topic you really couldn't care less about but just know it's gonna tickle your 'tism in all the right places..... And i think that's beautiful

Ive never had beyblade history videos. why do I need more?

Funny story ab this combo. I went to my 1st beyblade tourney in central park in NYC when flame 230 and just 230CS combos were first gaining traction. There was at least 100 people in attendance & we met in a hotel resort lobby to check in before we were all brought to the park where the event was held. I thought i had studied the whole meta, figured out all the best combos (i was 12). I win round 1 easy, but round 2 I'm paired against a guy that had to be double my height, early 30's, and came with his parkour & dance team who he was practicing moves with between rounds. When we presented beys I had no idea what was going on, as I assumed flame was a meme wheel that got outclassed a year ago. I also didn't understand why 230 was with flame and CS, as I thought it was a defense track, and I had rarely ever seen CS on anything besides BD145 or some anti-attack or balance combo. I got completely washed 2-0 in like 30 seconds & the guy proceeded to shake my hand and run on the walls of the gazebo back to his crew. Glad someone else is finally doing these videos on metal fight

I...
I had...
I had absolutely no idea that Beyblade was a thing that needed talk about a meta.

This is such a cool peek into the competitive meta of a game I haven't thought about in 10-15 years.  I really appreciate how you included details like the primer on how height works, and the 230 being named for being 23.0 mm tall, making the video accessible even to someone with absolutely no background knowledge going into it.  Great stuff, thanks for sharing!
