Come spend the week with me! This week I travelled across London and Birmingham speaking at some big conferences, and of course took my knitting along with me! I share a life update about going back to school in my 40s (!) and my new academic planner update !

The highlight of this week was attending the grand opening of the latest Yarn Store in London ~ Notting Hill Knit and Needle! It’s so lovely to have a local yarn store and really glad to see the knit and stitch community thriving!

The spikes on top of the tube signs (and on all kinds of city buildings) are anti-roosting bird spikes so that everything doesn't get covered in bird poop.

That’s so cool about the masters - i work in health research and i wish more doctors and medical researchers did anthropology and medical humanities type stuff, it’s going to give such a fresh perspective! Congratulations!

My partners mum used to do a lot of stuff with DV and mental health in London (shameless plug here as her book is coming out in January Dr. Saira Khan in case anyone is interested in research on domestic violence and feminism) up until recently so it’s really great to see women who are doing such important work in mental health while being crafters!!

I live like 30mins away from you so when you mentioned the Parakeets i had to laugh as they have indeed taken over. We should become friends. Loving yoiur book and adore the fact you still love to use fountain pens. I am so mega impressed with the scholarship so a mighty big well done you queen❤❤
