The Duke had no idea that his wife was extremely competent in Estate Management and had insights into maritime issues none of those supposedly educated aristocrats had. At a high class banquet where a foreign Ambassador opened their eyes to het brilliance when she engaged him in intellectual conversation in the language with which he was familiar. I loved that moment when all of the guests felt less capable of their competency
