THE BEST AFFORDABLE SNAKE RACK?

Jason's Exotic Reptiles

In this video I build and review the Reptile Basic Super 70 rack. I talk about how it compares to freedom breeder racks, how to assemble, what snakes these would be good for. IS IT WORTH IT? Is it the best affordable snake rack on the market? You be the judge.

I have built a lot of these over the past 12 years of my snake career, and let me tell you when your doing the heat tape you should remove the back…. Build it in full and then to move the back before you install the heat it removes so much head ache.

Receiving 3 racks today🎉🎉🎉

Just received the 3 level version of this to use as a quarantine setup

This looks like a good affordable option since TGR went out of business.

For me it was easier for put the heat tape on the ve 70 after I removed the back as I couldn't reach it when it would get stuck . Over all I like them. I use those and the ve 6 and use the 41 qt , 23 qt and 11 qt. To house leopard geckos, ball pythons, boas and corn snakes.

I dont put the top on untill after the tape is installed, it makes it easier. Slideing a playing card or credit card into the oppisite side slot, so the heat tape goes over it, makes it easier to get out the other side when it coils down. I have 6 of them and a ve6

Glad I caught this before I order Cserpents again/soo expensive and 4wk lead time. For the exact order Reptile Basics saves me $1300 and ships faster🎉

Awesome! I need to look into these for baby boas and juvenile boas. Kind of regret not seeing them earlier.

Not a bad looking racking system at all. That lead time is fabulous!

I found it much easier to run the heat tape before screwing the top on.

Jason, Nice review! At one point you say if you're not using casters it doesn't matter if the shelf with the caster holes is on the bottom. It really does, I made the mistake of having it in the middle only to have my 2 Jungle Carpet hacthings escape through those holes. Just a heads up.

Jason working in the reptile room in Nike sliders, I relate. 💯😂. Great video for us that need to see when directions aren't enough. Happy holidays to you and yours.

You were supposed to put the heat tape in first, then the back on last

I would like a rack system for growing boas out, but I just can’t justify the price. This is still 1,000. I could buy 4 animal plastics 4x2x1 enclosures for the same price little less honestly. That’s crazy. They are very proud of these little things 😅

Nice rack for the price 👍

Great video bro

Just built my first two last week! I ran into all the same problems! Great video! I definitely think they are high quality for PVC racks. I have them in both sizes they offer. The only issue I am having so far is moisture retention. I am going to put ventilation holes in some of the tubs to see if that helps. Cheers!

I just got one of these a couple weeks ago, I had the same issue with the plug was frustrating lol

@georgebeckett9789 3 years ago

I ordered mine on a Wednesday they arrived on a Tuesday of the following week
If I get another I think I will install the heat tape from the bottom up as I install the shelves along with the thermostat probe
I got the plug to fit through the slot but it was a pain I wish I would have seen the way you did it first
Over all I think it's going to be a great rack
