In this episode, we explore Copenhagen, spend a few days with our Danish-Ukrainian friends, and talk about things that usually go beyond the pretty tourist postcards: salaries and taxes in Denmark, free healthcare and education, prices, the social welfare system, trust in the government, work-life balance, and the famous Danish concept of hygge.

We’ll see Copenhagen by bike, Nyhavn, CopenHill—a waste-to-energy plant with a ski slope on the roof—the royal Rosenborg Castle, and a completely different side of the city: Christiania, which has lived by its own rules for decades.

Then we’ll set off on a mini-cruise from Copenhagen to Oslo to see what we can experience in Norway’s capital in just 5 hours.

But the main question of this episode is: Are Scandinavians really happier than others?

And if so, what are Denmark and Norway doing differently, and what can we learn from them?
