Good to see a paint and body guy thats not scared to take 3 or 4 steps to paint the length of the panel. Idk why but watching guys paint things in 2 ft sections drives me insane even if it turns out fine.

I truly believe most people do not appreciate the amount of work it takes to get to the finish coat.  From initial inspection,  cutting  out the metal,  finishing the transitions etc.,  there is a ton of time involved.

Good job learning how to do my 73 Chevy truck same area.

The driver side is always worse here in northern Indiana about 3 miles from Michigan. I believe a big part of the reason is when they salt everything gets on that side and the same thing when they plow it really gets slammed on...

Front fenders are very good patch panels and are very close to the back wheel arches and rarely rust out .I leave the inner wheel arch cut off and kill it with tar pitch and engine oil 50/50 so its the viscosity of Vaseline. If you reinforce the lip with a small pipe like electrical conduit and leave the wheel well open it will dry out and you be able to get in to wash it out. If the shit goes in and then falls out you won't have the exterior rot we all see. Used front fenders are cheap!

Not having any heat from the weld seam is nice having a less chance of rust on the back side. Although in collision we’re told to try not to lift the panel back off, if it has glue on it to not risk getting air bubbles in the glue

That sure looks like a Fine Paint Blend.  Impossible to detect different shades of red.  Great Job.
