I was grade 8 trumpet and played in the Greenwich youth orchestra in London in those last couple of years of my peak. You have to be very tight to rearrange rock songs for a full orchestra. These guys are all multi instrumentalists and I am certain no one did that arranging for them (They do not have a conductor as Tomoya was conducting while drumming) That's why the songs sound so tight with the orchestra. I have seen Taka play drums, piano and guitar, Ryota playing the base up there with the best ever, guitar, piano and a cello, Tomoya (one of the best drummers in the world in my view - watch the song "onion!" - taka said he thought he may have written an unplayable drum part, but was reminded that he had a genius), plays high level piano too (best pianist of all of them from what I have seen). Toru I have seen play base but nothing else, although he is the lead melody and so he has to make the song possible. But I would be shocked if he was not also a multi instrumentalist... my 3rd song from them was an orchestra song and I knew I didnt just already love the band, I was that the talent of the first two songs (take what you want, we are)  was just the tip of how talented they are.

I love your reactions.
Please give us more reactions to ONE OK ROCK!
They are 100% Japanese rock artists.
I want to see them and hear them!
More rock songs, more pop, more acoustic songs.
More wonderful noisy rock.
The reactions and timing of the cool parts of your songs are the opposite of what I think.
By the way, ONE OK ROCK is read as “1 o'clock” and “10969”.

Absolutely understand. I found them in August of last year and booked a flight to Germany (from U.S.) within weeks to see them in Munich. Worth every penny and then some. They are worth ALL the hype and exceed expectations in every possible way

聽完他們的音樂 你會哭但你也會擁有勇氣

Why is my  translation tool acting weird?
I was king - i was gay 😂😂😂

They are amazing!!! ❤

They are on my bucket list too!!!

Dude, this is how I felt when I found them early last year. I have not seen a band live in over 15 years (im 39) before 2025. I saw One OK Rock at the 02 Arena in London last year. This band made me fall back in love with music but also, have helped me through tough times these past few months. I am so grateful I found and saw them before the bs hit the fan towards the end of the year. I lost my mum in November, Dad's prognosis is 35-40% chance the treatment will work or will be 3-6 months, max year (found out shortly before xmas)... I honestly have been able to not fall apart/do my best to step up because this band had made me stronger without me realising it... I am certain of this but won't go into details how I came to the realisation as its very personal.

You react to OOR exactly how I did when I heard them. I completely get it and love you for showing your true emotions and the impact it has on you. It reminds me of the impact I felt and makes me feel stronger that a gentleman like you is so honest and genuine enough to show everyone those same emotions. It makes me feel hope.

Subscribed and put alerts on. Sending thanks from London, UK mate. Really appreciate you - going to now dive into your previous reactions to OOR. x

Thank you so much for this heartfelt beautiful reaction. OKR has such positive messages that we all can relate with. This is my 12 yo son’s absolute favorite song. He is very small for his age, and often gets picked on. After 10 years of listening to them, my son and I traveled to see them last year and the concert was amazing! My son wanted to look like Taka for the concert so he cut and dyed his hair teal and dressed up just like him. Taka saw him and even interacted with him, such a special experience.

More ONE OK ROCK plz🔥

The DVD of this gig is well worth the cost. In interviews and gigs in the west Taka says One OK Rock so no one will mind how you say it as we're here to relive what it was like when we first heard these songs. You're going to need tissues especially when it gets to the emotional songs. Tomoya , the drummer, has his own YouTube channel Tomoya Studio's where you can see the drum part of many songs.

You mentioned about how the band members even sounded good and i think you'll enjoy listening to When They Turn The Lights Off live performance from Luxury Disease Japan Tour. They did harmonization on that song that has both Queen's vibe & sound.

If you wanna check out one of their harder songs I recommend Deeper Deeper Live at Yokohama Stadium, absolute banger

I'm sure you'll be happy to know that those goosebumps never go away - there are some songs I've literally listened to dozens of times & still get chills.  Don't feel weird about tearing up, we've all been there because of OOR songs - when I feel like I want to cry but not get depressed, my go-to is watching OOR Lives (the weirdest song that makes me cry is the C.U.R.I.O.S.I.T.Y. MV, which makes NO sense).

Your pronunciation was absolutely right. Don't let others tell you something else. The band members even call themselves "one ok rock" when they're outside of Japan. In Japan they're called "oneokrock". Both pronunciations are alright. You can choose what's easier for you. Their name originated from "one o'clock", the time they used to practice when they were young. Japanese people don't pronounce the letter "L", so the group changed it to an "R". Out of that they made "ONE OK ROCK".

If you ever get the chance to see them live, just do it. They're the best! I've seen them three times so far, and I'll never miss a tour again. Best experience of my whole life!

Goosebumps man....

The Lead Singer and Nagi on stage singing, think you'd probably die. 🤣
