I have gotten a number of comments asking whether the guests can watch things if they are on an underground path themselves, and the answer is yes, they can absolutely do that.

i like that even the unexciting gentle rides still get watched because it's like parents are watching/taking pictures of their kids riding.

This is one of those little things that I know Chris Sawyer really wanted in the game but he didn't realize how much work was going to go into it until he was halfway through a pile of assembly code.

I also just realized why the roof piece is photogenic, and your example accidentally showed it: In an actual park, this roof piece would be on top of a larger building, so the logic is that guests are high up enough if they can “see” this roof piece, and who doesn’t love pictures of skylines from high places?
