Backlash is a common problem with baitcasting tackle.
Are you wondering what's causing it—oil, bearings, spool, line, etc.? The most important thing is your "casting form."
In this video, Kenichi Akatsuka and field tester Yamazaki take on a major river in Kumamoto Prefecture.
This experimental video explains correct casting techniques and the causes of backlash through actual fishing, while also aiming to improve Yamazaki's casting form for better casting.
Mastering the correct form will not only reduce problems but also improve casting distance.
This video is a valuable resource for baitcasting beginners and those transitioning from spinning to baitcasting, and is worth watching repeatedly.
