As an American movie buff who knew next to nothing about Robbie Williams until hearing about this movie from critics at film festival screenings, I must say I find him utterly charming. My next step was to watch the 4-part docu-series on Netflix about him & wow, I was hooked. YouTube is a treasure trove of his performances, videos & interviews over the past 30+ years. We in the U.S. have been cheated of this man's talents for far too long. I cannot wait to experience this remarkable film! Hopefully, it will open the eyes of many pop/rock music lovers in North America.

This film deserved much more. But I am glad some americans finally get to know Robbie Williams, it has been years following his career. The entire world loves Robbie Williams he is an icon not only in the UK.

...and yes Junno performance was incredible as Robbie said the way he moves etc ...also all of Take That were amazing,some serious talent in front of and behind the camera in this film.The Regent street film was one of the most spectacular dance sequences ever ...EPIC,thank god they filmed that sequence

It is absolutely the directors film,to be honest in a way it is irrelevant whether its about Robbie to some extent,its almost incidental although obviously we hear his voice and those of us in the UK already know most of what was in the film other than more personal details but really it could also have been about anyone and their childhood and then their lifestory and search for self worth and esteem and trials through drug addiction.
It is absolutely the directors film as well as all the other cast members,editors and all the other visual tools used to tell the story was phenomonal.To me this film is worth seeing as a piece of filming making in itself and how to tell a story in a different way.
The dance sequences,the psychedelic style inner life/crisis sequences were absolutely phenomonal.
So for film making alone I would say go see this film whether interested in Robbie Williams or not because he is almost incidental other than we know his story and him thorugh Take that
