Join us on our vlog...We drove from Tennessee all the way to Port Canaveral for our very first Princess Cruise aboard the Caribbean Princess… and it was not what we expected.
We accidentally booked a much smaller, older cruise ship than we’re used to, and the Caribbean Princess immediately gave us a nostalgic, almost Titanic-like feeling. From the classic ship design to some of the photos we took onboard, it honestly felt like stepping back in time.
But the trip had a rough start. A norovirus outbreak happened onboard the week before our cruise, with around 100 people reportedly getting sick. Then we skipped Nassau on day two, and our Princess Cays beach day on day three got rained out.
We still made the best of it by exploring the ship, enjoying embarkation day, and trying specialty dining at Crown Grill and Sabatini’s. This vlog shows our full travel day from Tennessee to Port Canaveral, our first impressions of Princess Cruises, and whether the Caribbean Princess was worth trying.

Very surprised at your experience with service. I’ve always had excellent service on princess. They take feedback very seriously, make sure you do the survey. I can’t wait to sail the Caribbean princess in September again and enjoy some 24 carrot margaritas.
