Used to work on whacker plate when I was working on the road to tarmac King always happened to fix them. Had me own for quite a few years. In the garage I’m sure still got an exhaust one and a clutch and I’m not too sure what else is out there but there was some bits for the whacker plate. Quite indestructible. But the switches are a nightmare. Lying Man from Kent

I think I would have used your multi meter to test that switch before you removed it, it could be wiring issues,.  Nice job 👍🇦🇺🦘

I’d have sprayed brake cleaner/easy start into carb whilst pulling to start.

Bypass the switch. Looks like in the off position it shorts the coil to Earth,  in the on position its actually OFF. Check your spark withoutnthe switch in at all. Almost all the Honda mopeds run the generator power to Earth in the Off position and leave it to generate in the On position, hence one input wire.

Honda engines are great but the on/off switches don't last if left in the weather!

You should a few days cleaning up, wiping an oily rag over things then put it out you are going to have a auction day. Publicise it and you will be rich again and ready to go out to auctions buying more stuff. 😂. But Please do not buy anthing at your own auction.
