How did he know what a rule 1 is😅

Champ 2 here. It's always a joy to see new people try this game because it's genuinely so fun mechanically and competitively. The Rocket League community is pretty starved of new players these days, so I don't think it'd be far-fetched for you to try collabing with some RL YouTubers for content if you want to. Most of us know how hard it is to get good at this game, and we like to see the training archs of others. It'd be fun to see you react to some high level gameplay, too.

Rule 1ing in your first ever match is iconic

Seeing camera shake on takes me back to my first time playing in 2016 😂 Ngl bud you aren’t too bad for just starting off

"I just don't understand I was there"   yep welcome to rocket league 😂 that about sums it up

As a GC, videos like this remind me why I've spent so much time enjoying this game. My best piece of advice is to practice in training. Practice recoveries, shots, control, rotation, etc. One thing at a time. Especially starting out. Of course, time in game is important, but you're not practicing your shots when you only get a couple per game. You're so much better off practicing on a training pack and taking that newly developed skill into the game. Nice work!

I think you gotta do 1 week video for Rocket League Because games skill gap is insane

2:12 yes those were beginner bots

As a 33 year old who’s played this game for years, I just wanted to say how happy this video made me. I was genuinely cheesing most of the time and I really enjoyed watching a new player learn to enjoy the game (even through the pain haha)

5:13 lol first time i heard someone say they needed to be better about getting boost and seem genuine

One thing i’m very impressed is how composed he is, i’ve seen so many new players who blindly drive around and go for every single ball, which is the worse thing to do because it creates bad habits in the long run. He is going to get better fast if he keeps his composure and learn what situations are threatening or not

14:30 bro calling him buns in S2 is wild 😭

17:42 hitting that in your first 24 hours of rocket league is crazy

I have 7k hours in the game, and as a washed supersonic legend from 2 seasons ago, you did amazing. I started off in silver as well.

The way you focused on staying slower and watching your tm8 is already a skill most players your rank dont take into account. Thats why you got to gold 1 in only 24 hours. Keep playing, id love to see your progress for a longer period!

22:21 oh buddy you haven't seen hard yet just wait till your enemy team start's doing air dribbles on you

new players seem so happy, everytime i play rocket league it feels like i have a full time job

As a grand champ 2 the thing I find the most satisfying about this game is how much you notice improvement if you put in the effort. Its so rewarding

"OMG Merc, you're him" loool
love how you were oblivious to your teammates lowkey toxic trolls.

17:41 Aye! That was a pretty solid first aerial!
