The king of large-scale gas RC trucks is back! The all-new Losi 5IVE-TG 3.0 1/5 Scale 4WD Gas Desert Truck RTR (LOS05025) takes the legendary Losi 5IVE-T platform and makes it larger, stronger, and more powerful than ever.
At the heart of the Losi 5IVE-TG 3.0 is the new Fujiwara FJ350RC 35.2cc 2-stroke gasoline engine. Based on the proven Zenoah G320 platform, this larger-bore gas RC engine delivers increased displacement, stronger low-end torque, improved midrange power, and explosive acceleration through a full-time 4WD drivetrain.
This massive 1/5-scale RC truck measures nearly 43 inches long and rides on huge 8.5-inch Pro-Line Mirage TT tires mounted to officially licensed KMC KM549 wheels with Pro-Line Pro-Loc beadlock technology. Losi also added a longer wheelbase for improved high-speed stability, optimized 43/12 ring-and-pinion gearing, a 67-tooth spur gear, reinforced suspension arms, and enormous 32mm big-bore oil-filled shocks.
The redesigned six-piece injection-molded polypropylene body is built to flex and absorb hard impacts better than a traditional polycarbonate RC body. Maintenance is also easier thanks to the new quick-access center differential mount, which allows the center diff to be removed without taking apart the brake and throttle linkage.
The Losi 5IVE-TG 3.0 RTR includes a Spektrum DX3 Smart transmitter, SR615 DSMR receiver, 4000mAh 2S Smart LiPo receiver battery, a 1,000 oz-in metal-top steering servo, and a matching high-torque throttle and brake servo. Just add 91-octane gasoline, high-quality synthetic 2-cycle oil, charge the receiver battery, and this giant gas-powered RC desert truck is ready to run.
Is the new Losi 5IVE-TG 3.0 the ultimate large-scale gas RC truck, and how does it compare to the original Losi 5IVE-T, Losi 5IVE-T 2.0, Losi 5T, Losi 5TE, HPI Baja 5B, Rovan Baja, Kraken RC, Traxxas X-Maxx, Traxxas XRT, ARRMA Kraton 8S, ARRMA Outcast 8S, and today’s most powerful electric, nitro, and gasoline-powered RC vehicles?
